David Schwimmer is calling for Kanye West’s removal from X after a new wave of antisemitic and controversial tweets. The “Friends” star took to Instagram on Saturday to speak out, urging X owner Elon Musk to take action against the rapper’s hateful rhetoric.

“We can’t stop a deranged bigot from spewing hate-filled, ignorant bile… but we CAN stop giving him a megaphone, Mr. Musk,” Schwimmer, who is Jewish, wrote in his post.

He continued, pointing out the massive reach of Kanye’s platform: “Kanye West has 32.7 million followers on your platform, X. That’s twice as many people as the total Jewish population. His sick hate speech leads to real-life violence against Jews.”

The 58-year-old actor didn’t hold back, calling out the disturbing nature of West’s recent comments, saying, “I don’t know what’s worse—the fact that he identifies as a Nazi (which implies he wants to exterminate ALL marginalized communities, including his own) or the fact that there is not sufficient OUTRAGE to remove and ban him from all social media at this point. Silence is complicity.”

Schwimmer’s call for action comes after West, now known as Ye, shared a series of vile tweets, including a comment stating, “I love Hitler. Now what bitches.” Other posts included antisemitic and racist statements, including, “I don’t like or trust no Jewish person… I’m a Nazi,” and “Stereotypes exist for a reason, and they all be true.” West also tweeted, “Jewish people actually hate white people and use black people.”

Schwimmer shared some of these disturbing messages in his Instagram post, making his stance clear. He’s demanding accountability for the hate that has once again spread across social media, calling for a ban on West’s account.

This new controversy follows West’s appearance at the 2025 Grammys with his wife, Bianca Censori, who wore a revealing outfit that sparked further outrage. West’s comments about his wife and his praise for Adolf Hitler only intensified the backlash. He has previously made headlines for similar behavior, including posting a swastika in 2022, which led to his temporary suspension from X and a severing of ties with brands like Adidas.
