A grandmother was murdered by an old lover in her home in Ilogan, Cornwall, UK on January 10, just two months after they reconnected following their divorces.

Milly Rosevear, 60, was bludgeoned to death by Adrian Lawrence, 59. After committing the crime, Lawrence phoned the police to confess and then tragically took his own life by jumping from a bridge.

Milly’s daughter, Kayleigh, 32, expressed her heartbreak to MailOnline, saying, “We didn’t know him and I have no feelings toward him at all. My focus is on remembering the good times with my mum—not how we lost her.”

She went on to describe her mother as an incredible woman who didn’t deserve such a tragic end. “Mum was the best. She was beautiful, funny, kind, and caring. She had an infectious laugh and a quirky sense of humor. She loved music, and her dancing was unmatched. Shakin’ Stevens was her favorite, and she loved dancing to rock and roll.”

Just two days before her death, Milly spent a joyful day with her children, Kayleigh and Jamie, 21, dancing around the house as they took down Christmas decorations. The family had plans to meet again on January 10, unaware of the devastating tragedy that was about to unfold.

In an effort to cover her mother’s funeral expenses and support children in foster care in the South West, Kayleigh started a GoFundMe campaign. A message on the campaign page reads: “Milly was the happiest, most beautiful soul you could ever meet. She was always willing to help others and was so proud of her children and grandchildren. I know leaving them behind was the last thing she ever wanted.”

Friends and family have shared tributes online, remembering Milly for her kindness and loving nature. One person wrote on Facebook, “RIP Milly Rosevear. You will always be remembered for your love and kindness.” Another tribute came from Milly’s niece, who said, “She was one of my favorite aunties. She loved all of us, and we loved her.”

An inquest into both deaths was opened by Cornwall Coroner’s Court this week. It was confirmed that Milly died from blunt force trauma to the head, while Adrian Lawrence died from multiple injuries after jumping off a bridge on the A30 near Redruth.

Detective Inspector Rob Smith from Devon and Cornwall Police said, “We are continuing our inquiries on behalf of the coroner regarding the events surrounding Milly Rosevear’s death, which is being treated as suspicious. We are not looking at anyone else in connection with the death.
