In a rare and refreshingly candid podcast appearance, Prince William left hosts and listeners in stitches when he tackled the age-old question: how exactly do you address royalty?

The Prince of Wales, known for his charm and humor, showed a lighter side during his guest spot on The Peter Crouch Podcast, recorded in the intimate setting of Kensington Palace.

As the conversation began, podcaster Chris Stark decided to address the elephant in the room. “What do we call you, by the way? This is what I’m already struggling with,” Stark asked.

William’s response? A straight-faced, “Your Royal Highness will do.” The room fell silent for a split second before the prince’s serious expression broke into laughter. “I’m just kidding. William is absolutely fine,” he clarified, leaving Stark visibly relieved and the rest of the crew laughing.

This playful exchange quickly became a sensation on TikTok. The clip amassed over 6 million views, 579,000 likes, and countless comments praising the prince’s down-to-earth nature.

“He’s got such a fun dry sense of humor,” one commenter wrote. Another added, “He has his mother’s humor and her smile.” Many fans gushed over the prince’s relatable demeanor, with one saying, “He’d be so fun to grab a pint with.”

The podcast episode, recorded during the summer of 2020, featured more than just royal banter. At one point, a knock at the door interrupted the conversation. Stark commented on the intrusion, prompting William to rise and answer it himself. “I’m surprised you have to answer the door yourself,” co-host Tom Fordyce quipped, drawing laughter from everyone present.

Moments later, William returned with a plate of curries from Samrat, footballer Peter Crouch’s favorite curry house. “I think it’s the first time Samrat’s ever delivered to Kensington Palace,” Crouch exclaimed. The prince, not missing a beat, joked, “There’s an Uber driver out there on the floor at the moment being frisked.”

William’s love of curry is no secret. In a previous interview, he confessed that chicken masala is his go-to dish, though he prefers it mild. Speaking to MasterChef winner Saliha Mahmood-Ahmed, he once said, “Me and heat not so good. I love spice but not heat.”

The prince’s sense of humor and relatability continue to endear him to the public. One fan summed it up perfectly: “When he becomes king and Kate becomes queen, the excitement will be immense. He’s going to be a fantastic monarch.”

For William, blending royal duties with personal touches seems to be a winning formula. Whether it’s cracking jokes about royal protocol or sharing a meal from a local favorite, the future king proves he’s as approachable as he is regal.
