A shocking display of poor sportsmanship from an Ohio State fan is sparking calls for a lifetime ban from Ohio Stadium. The fan was allegedly caught spitting on Michigan players during Saturday’s fierce matchup between the two college football powerhouses, a game already notorious for its intensity and high stakes.

The annual rivalry between the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Michigan Wolverines is one of the most anticipated clashes in college football. Although the image doesn’t explicitly show the spit landing on any player, Barron’s caption left little room for doubt:

“Ohio State fan spitting on the Michigan players coming out of their locker room.”

The post has since amassed over one million views and sparked an avalanche of online backlash.

Ohio State fans were among the first to condemn the act.

“As an Ohio State fan, that s—t p—ses me off. Should be identified and punished,” wrote user @holyquacanolli.

User @THEREDRANGER3 called the behavior “absolutely disgusting,” a sentiment echoed by hundreds of others. His comment alone received over 700 likes.

Some went further, demanding immediate action.

“Ban him for life. We don’t need fans like that,” wrote another user.

Others called for the fan to be identified, detained by police, and permanently barred from attending future games.

This isn’t the first time spitting has led to serious consequences in college sports. In 2022, a UCLA basketball player was cited for misdemeanor assault after spitting on an Arizona fan during a heated game. The precedent suggests that legal action could be on the table—if the fan is identified.

As of now, the individual remains unnamed, and it’s unclear if authorities or Ohio State officials are investigating the incident.

Ohio State University has yet to issue an official statement, despite multiple requests for comment.
