In a surprising twist blending pop culture with politics, wrestling icon Hulk Hogan suggested he might be in line for a position in Donald Trump’s administration.

Speaking with Fox News’s Brian Kilmeade, Hogan shared a story of a private exchange with Trump that left him wondering if he could helm the President’s Council on Physical Fitness.

During the interview, Hogan recounted a conversation at Trump’s October rally in Madison Square Garden. The former wrestler claimed the then-president-elect floated the idea. “My president said, ‘You know something, you’d be great to run the President’s Council on Physical Fitness,’” Hogan said, recalling Trump’s words with enthusiasm.

The council, officially known as the President’s Council on Sports, Fitness, and Nutrition, promotes healthy living through diet and exercise. First established under President Eisenhower in 1956, the council has seen notable figures lead its charge, including athletes and public health advocates.

Hogan noted that his backstage chat with Trump delved into broader issues of public health. “We were talking about Robert Kennedy, nutrition, and how some foreign countries ban foods we allow here. It’s poisoned a generation of kids,” Hogan remarked. “At the end of the day, we started talking about physical fitness.”

While the Trump campaign has yet to comment, Hogan’s remarks have sparked speculation about the role celebrities might play in a second Trump administration. Hogan’s endorsement of Trump has been unwavering, and his appearances at rallies often draw raucous cheers.

This development comes amid Trump’s controversial pick of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to head the Department of Health and Human Services. The appointment of the vaccine-skeptic environmental lawyer has alarmed public health experts, raising fears about the direction of key agencies and potential funding priorities.

Hogan’s potential appointment would mark another bold move by Trump, whose administration often leaned on larger-than-life personalities. Whether it materializes or remains just another conversation is yet to be seen. But for now, Hogan appears ready to step out of the ring and into Washington.

“We need to take care of our people,” Hogan concluded, flexing his familiar bravado. “And if my president thinks I can help, I’m ready to go.”
