Scandal and controversy continue to swirl around retired NFL quarterback and reality TV personality Jay Cutler, as explosive new details surface about his DUI arrest on Thursday night in Franklin, Tennessee.

The 41-year-old ex-Chicago Bear allegedly rear-ended a vehicle in downtown Franklin on October 17 and shockingly attempted to bribe the other driver with $2,000 to avoid police involvement, according to official reports.

When law enforcement arrived at the scene, things took a darker turn. Cutler, reportedly showing signs of severe intoxication—bloodshot eyes, slurred speech, and reeking of alcohol—denied drinking, but police weren’t buying it.

Officers quickly arrested Cutler, who refused a field sobriety test, and a subsequent vehicle search unveiled a loaded handgun in his truck’s center console and a rifle in the back seat.

Cutler, who once dominated the NFL gridiron, now faces charges for DUI, illegal possession of a weapon while intoxicated, and attempting to flee the scene of an accident. Released on a $5,000 bond, he is slated to appear in court on January 16, 2025, to face these serious allegations.

This isn’t the first time Cutler has found himself in the spotlight for all the wrong reasons. His highly publicized divorce from reality star Kristin Cavallari in 2020 shook Hollywood, with accusations of “inappropriate marital conduct” and irreconcilable differences. Together, the pair share three children, and their marriage was chronicled on the hit show Very Cavallari.

Now, the former NFL star’s legacy is overshadowed by this latest scandal, leaving fans and critics wondering if Jay Cutler’s fall from grace will be his final chapter.
