The body of an NYPD police officer was found on Tuesday evening after he jumped from the Throgs Neck Bridge the night before, leaving his keys and cell phone in his car parked in the middle of the span.

Scott Cohn, an officer with the 90th police precinct in Brooklyn, had six years on the job and also sang the National Anthem at NYPD events.

Police claim the 38-year-old was experiencing emotional difficulty from the job and was considering resigning.

‘I know he wasn’t happy on patrol,’ a Brooklyn officer who knew him said.

‘He wasn’t happy with the treatment police are getting, the current environment. But that’s not really a reason to want to kill yourself. Anybody can leave the job.

‘It’s just sad,’ the officer added.

‘He was a very friendly, pleasant guy.’

Cohn’s Honda Civic was left on the northbound side of the bridge, which extends over the East River connecting the Bronx and Queens.

The Triborough Bridge and Tunnel Authority (TBTA) alerted police that the disabled vehicle was discovered at about 10:20pm on Monday and that an unknown person had apparently jumped, the NYPD said.

Security footage shows a person walking near the vehicle a few minutes earlier, before jumping, sources said.

It prompted a late-night search of the river, under stormy skies, by several marine units including the FDNY, NYPD and U.S. Coast Guard.

The effort was called off after a couple hours, but the search resumed Tuesday.

Officer Cohn was a vocalist for the NYPD, and was often asked to perform his rendition of God Bless America because of his beautiful voice.

On average four to five NYPD officers commit suicide every year, but in 2019 that number doubled to 10.

Then-Commissioner James O’Neill prioritized mental health, bringing in changes, such as allowing officers in crisis to keep their badges even while handing in their firearms to de-stigmatize asking for help.

There were four NYPD suicides in 2020, and three in 2021.

Cohn is the fourth this year to take his own life.

  1. It’s working, the Godless, Satan worshiping, power-mad NWO-elitist ghouls aka Demo(n)cRATS depopulation plan is working to a tee; create as much violence, hatred, “Jab of the Beast” poison, racial strife, planned economical implosion, etc., etc., and these are the kind of results that they gloat about! You WOKE-FOLK are a JOKE-FOLK but you’re too stupid to realize this! BAA, BAA, BAA…

    1. The evil one & minions know that stress is a killer! Their motives & actions are to take out all,of the good people in the world one by one! They have hijacked our country’s protective authority! The days are becoming a by gone time when most children wanted to be a fireman or policeman when they grew up! These days are the darkest times since the early 1960’s!
Post WWII families were close, grieving together their losses from the war, churches were full, the police protected our children, homes, businesses! We all knew our community policeman by name, before they were called “COPS”! It was rude, degrading disrespectful to call an officer A “COP”! They earned, work long hours day & night to walk the streets (city beats) keeping thievery, shootings, murders at a low level! We prayed in our schools for the safety & God’s protection for all civil servants! With the exception of a few brutes most police officers were on a pedestal of honor! May this officer join the choir of angels in heaven & fill his soul with the joy that was taken from his living spirit! Maybhus family & friends, co-workers forgive him from dying from the greatest emotional attack that he “no doubt” suffered from!
His emotional attack killed him,,much like a heart attack would do!
Society took his life away! His beautiful voice perhaps could no longer “quiet or calm his worries or concerns about his present or future police career! May he RIP! God is a loving, forgiving judge! Look up to sky & do not look down on the hurting police officers!
