A Las Vegas woman who admitted to pushing an elderly man off a public transit bus in 2019 was sentenced to prison Friday as part of a plea bargain.

Cadesha Bishop, who was 25 years old at the time of the crime, received a sentence of eight to 20 years for abuse of an older person resulting in death.

On March 21, 2019, Bishop was captured on bus surveillance video arguing with Serge Fournier, 74. When the vehicle stopped and Fournier turned his back to exit the bus, Bishop was seen pushing him, causing him to fall onto the sidewalk below.

Fournier was hospitalized later that day and died more than a month later of complications from blunt force trauma to the torso, according to the Clark County Coroner-Medical Examiner. Officials then ruled his death a homicide.

At sentencing, Bishop was given credit for the 252 days of time served.

      1. Angelina. Please stop showing your ignorance! If you’ve been on this planet for the last century, you KNOW WE’RE NOT PROTECTED!! This woman deserves jail! Period. What she did was despicable!!!! Don’t lump jackasses like her in with all black people!!

    1. Yeah its almost impossible for black people to be charged with racist hate crimes. They are never racists. Woke theory in play here – only Caucasian people are racists and only black people are victims. Ahhh the new order!

    1. It may seem that way sometimes, Furlong But their great benefactors, the Dimocrats ,d estroyed these people in the “War on Poverty.” They destroyed the black family with easy welfare and other giveaways. That’s why black people have to work harder to” make it” in society, unless one is an athletic type. So, a criminal is a criminal, a cruel person is a cruel person.

  1. This country is so full of hateful people that you can’t go anywhere without worrying if you will be attacked by someone who *thinks* they are “privileged” and others are “racists”. This is what happens when you have GENERATIONS living off the Government. Welfare wasn’t meant to be a way of life but a stopgap so that for a *LIMITED* time they would get help while they worked whatever was going on out and then go back to being *INDEPENDENT* of Governmental help. The time will come when there IS no such help when our Country is BANKRUPT, and these people will no longer be helped. I wonder what they will cry about then?

  2. When it first became prominent for families to be entitled to more government money than if a husband was NOT was IN the home……..and more kids = even MORE money per household. Our government encouraged: NO father in the house, the MORE kids, the MORE money……….We created this society, and we are stuck with it. My mother was a lawyer during that period…and she would almost cry at the ruined children’s lives she witnessed.

  3. It is getting harder and harder to be old in America. Asian families and society have a different view of the elderly that begins with respect for the aged. We do not have that in America, which makes me wonder why.

  4. It’s sad that the elderly in this country are not treated with the respect they deserve; who are they hurting? I am living with my parents to help them in their golden years & there are days I want to throw up my hands & give up but in return, I am learning how to be more patient. However, with all the phone & computer scams being allowed to happen, I don’t want my parents to lose everything they worked so hard for by these criminals. This young lady got what she deserved but now we pay for her in prison. With Biden allowing more & more illegals into our country, recipients of welfare should be on their toes as we have new welfare recipients coming in by bus & plane fulls. There was one time in my life when I needed govt. assistance & after all that I had to go through, I was given $15 a month in food stamps, no cash assistance, no housing assistance, was put on a monthly electrical plan, and since it was in the winter, they paid a one-time amount toward my heating [gas] bill. I have worked since I was a kid and during the summer would get summer jobs which helped me pay for my school clothes and for all my hard work & my one-time needing help from the govt. I got $15 in food/month and heat of 65 degrees in the winter to make my gas last. So, I feel that long-term Welfare recipients should have to put in 40 hours/week of community service while looking for a full-time job to discourage their reliance of govt. support. Welfare was created to provide ‘temporary’ help to individuals & their families while getting back on their feet. What justifies able-bodied individuals to stay on Welfare all their lives? Why are we not stopping the families from passing it down to their children? We need to change this altogether. Our country is already Bankrupt & thanks to those who allowed Biden to become President, we are that much deeper in the crapper. Yes, Trump had major downfalls but at least he wanted to save the American people & their Country.

  5. My, that was mighty black of her!!
There would have been a week’s worth of looting if a white woman had done this to a black person. (Although you would be hard pressed to find that scenario.). Just sayin.
