David Honey was confirmed by a blowout vote of 94-1 after Josh Hawley had blocked his nomination twice.

Here was the vote:

Honey was confirmed to be the second-ranking research and engineering official in the Pentagon. His nomination originally was approved by the Senate Armed Services Committee in October of 2021, but Hawley had been slowing progress on his nomination to a crawl.

Hawley has been slowing Biden Pentagon nominations for months because he wants Biden to fire his national security team over the Afghanistan withdrawal. Josh Hawley is the same Senator who blocked Biden’s Homeland Security nominee after the 1/6 attack.

Not A Single Republican Joined Hawley In Voting Against  Biden’s Nominee

Hawley has been carrying out this campaign for months trying to get his fellow Republicans to block Biden’s nominees, and not a  single Republican followed him off of the cliff.

Sen. Hawley has presidential ambitions, but he showed the sort of standing that he has in the Senate as no one joined him. The only Senator who has this level of unpopularity is Ted Cruz, who also harbors delusions of someday residing at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

Josh Hawley led the charge to block Biden’s Pentagon nominees, and it turns out that he was an army of one.

  1. I do not know Josh Holley or Bidens nominee but if he is like the rest of the administration, thats enough reason to vote against him. As for as Ted Cruz is concerned I think he is a person who knows and follows the constitution and you are off base to make these remarks about him. As far as having no Republicans backing you is easy to explain, very few have enough nerve to even say what they would like too, they are gutless. Just draw their money and watch these idiots destroy our country. We need a whole new Republican party.

    1. Old marine
      I fully agree with you
It’s past time that both political socalled leadership parties are replaced with folks that not only understand the constitution but will enforce it as law of the land
Political leadership in Washington DC has forgotten about the citizens rights they only think of themselves

    2. Agree Sir. When Hawley arrived in DC, he forgot to have his backbone removed like most Republicans do. I salute Hawley and his Missouri beliefs.

  2. Wow! How many times can you try to force a story? This so-called journalist is the only one humiliated here Josh Hawley stood by his convictions. Just because no one had the same convictions he did on this particular vote does not mean he humiliated himself nor does it mean he’s an army of one. What an asinine story and gossiper. Absolutely no journalism here.
