Just hours after a violent mob came rushing through the Senate Chamber in the United States Capitol building, the former Vice President Mike Pence certified the 2020 election results.

As USA Today reported, the certification confirmed President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris’ election victory and took place despite former President Donald Trump‘s claim that the election results were fraudulent and could be blocked.

Throughout the insurrection that took place on January 6th, 2021, demonstrators made threats against Pence, chanting “Hang Mike Pence” in support of Trump’s claim that the 2020 presidential election was stolen. “Well, the people were very angry,” Trump told Jonathan Karl of ABC News, per People.

“It’s common sense. It’s common sense that you’re supposed to protect. How can you — if you know a vote is fraudulent, right? How can you pass a fraudulent vote to Congress?”

During a press event with the former Fox News personality Bill O’Reilly in December 2021, former President Trump spoke about how he was still “disappointed” in Mike Pence’s decision to certify the 2020 election results, CNN reported.

“I was disappointed in one thing, but it was a big thing,” Trump said during the event, adding, “Mike should have sent those crooked votes back to the legislatures and you would have had a different result in the election, in my opinion. I think Mike has been very badly hurt by what took place in respect to January 6. I think he’s been mortally wounded, frankly.”

Mike Pence hasn’t spoken to Donald Trump for a while

While speaking to Fox News host Jesse Watters on January 27th, former Vice President Mike Pence admitted that he hadn’t spoken to former President Donald Trump since summer 2021. “We talked last summer,” Pence revealed, per People.

“And you know I’ve said many times, it was difficult, January 6 was difficult. It was a tragic day in the life of the nation. I know I did my duty under the Constitution of the United States, but the president and I sat down in the days that followed that, we spoke about it, talked through it, we parted amicably.”

Since leaving the White House, rumors have abounded regarding Pence’s potential run for the presidency in 2024. For the past few months, Pence has been paying visits to key primary spots, like New Hampshire — though he has still not revealed whether or not he plans to run in 2024.

Many experts believe that Pence might be a favorable option for Republicans who don’t want to vote for Trump. “Pence’s political stock continues to rise every month while Trump relitigating his loss to Biden makes him look smaller in the rearview mirror,” Scott Reed, a Republican operative, told Vanity Fair

Apart from his potential presidential campaign in 2024, People reports that Pence launched a political podcast and has plans to release an autobiography at some point in 2023.

  1. People that are Trump supporters will NOT vote for this man. He always sounded like a preacher instead of the VP. I never quite trusted him. He was trying to put his toe in the water for himself but he is way to “righteous” for me. Sorry Pence but you did this nation wrong, all for power just like a democrat!

  2. Trump still has a Rabid group of followers, and I would vote for him, before anyone else, unless Pence can get a Solid following of all walks of Republicans and Independents.??

  3. I thought Pence and Trump made a good team; but I was also disappointed that Pence certified the election. Especially when you see everything in multiple states uncovering massive fraud in the election.

      1. Why do you think Wisconsin is trying to recall their electoral votes and now maybe Arizona as well. When has this country ever stopped counting votes on election night in all these states? When have we ever had people with backpacks full of ballots dumping them into drip boxes in the middle of the night when voting was closed? It’s on video plastic crates being pulled from under tables and votes being scanned multiple times. Liberals like you keep saying where’s the proof it’s in front of your face but as long as you got your loser into the White House you don’t care about cheating. I know I don’t want to hear s**t from any of you when you lose every seat in 2022. 80 million people didn’t vote for a demented old man and a nasty old w hore.
Also Pence the loser isn’t building any momentum whoever writes these articles hates Trump and wants people to believe this bs. I will be voting for Trump like most everyone I know.

        1. PA court announced the PA governor changed voting rules is unconstitutional. Even allow people to submit vote days after the election ended. Obviously trying to find enough vote for Biden.

  4. A rat is a rat it’s not a cat or dog, pence serewed president Trump many times, because of his weak spineless gutless backing of our presidents policies he does not have the guts to run the country he’s too busy trying to be politically correct, he certifies a fraudulently elected communist onto office, he’s a moron and he should be hung for crimes against the president oh, I just wish I was the one typing the Rope around his neck

        1. Yep they all act like they’re 10 years old calling names and correcting petty crap since they know they can’t argue the point. Tom is just a miserable, pathetic child.

  5. I think President Trump and Mike Pence were a good team. As VP he would sometimes have the job of smoothing things over when President Trump went overboard on his statements. They balanced each other out.

  6. I like Pence. He is willing to be molded and take advice unlike Trump who is arrogant and always thinks he is smarter and better than everyone else.

  7. Nope, Pence hasn’t got a chance. America today is in the mess it’s in because Pence either
took a bribe from the Democrats or was blackmailed…. The swamp is deep.

  8. I really respected Mike Pence for his Christian values, however, when push comes to shove, he caved to Demon rats pressure. Like Mitch McConnell, Mitt Romney, Cheny, etc. It’s no longer strength of character or conviction, it’s political maneuvering. The 2020 election was absolute fraud, everyone knows it, the propaganda, the censoring, the plandemic, the absolute demonratic corruption is clearly evident, yet we the people feel helpless to irradicate it. I thank God that ALL things are possible through Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior! I am powerless, and HE is more than able to do more than I can ask or think. Every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord! Get thee behind me, Satan! Amen!

  9. Pence followed the constitution. He had no choice given no credible evidence at the time was presented. The democrats, the press, soros, Zuckerberg and many others pulled off a coup right under Trumps nose because they didn’t take the election serious enough. Trumps rallies with in your face comments and rhetoric had no bringing us back together just division. He needs to lead not tweet not put people down but educate and bring them together. Being smug will create this kind of atmosphere to bring you down any way they can. And they did. Yes illegally but you have to have solid proof. They still haven’t presented that proof of enough fraudulent votes even today. I think they will eventually but certainly not in time for Pence to have challenged the electoral committee. Get over and let’s kick Democrats ass this year and again in 2024. Trump needs to move on and so do we.
