Lindsay Clancy’s Ex-Husband Patrick ‘Struggling’ with Secret Crisis

As jurors weigh the fate of Lindsay Clancy, her ex-husband Patrick is reportedly dealing with another painful battle of his own — relentless online speculation surrounding the deaths of their three children.

Lindsay’s murder trial entered its final stage Thursday, Aug. 27, with closing arguments completed and the case handed to jurors.

The Massachusetts mother has admitted killing the couple’s three young children — 5-year-old Cora, 3-year-old Dawson and 8-month-old Callan — inside the family’s Duxbury home on Jan. 24, 2023.

Afterward, Lindsay jumped from a second-story window in what authorities described as a suicide attempt.

Her defense does not dispute that she killed the children. Instead, attorneys have argued that Lindsay was suffering from severe postpartum mental illness and was affected by numerous prescription medications at the time.

Prosecutors have pushed back hard, arguing that the killings were calculated, deliberate and that Lindsay understood exactly what she was doing.

Meanwhile, Patrick, 39, has continued trying to rebuild his life while the horrifying case plays out in court.

He has reportedly remarried and is now living in Manhattan with his new wife, reproductive endocrinologist and infertility specialist Rachel Danis.

The newlyweds have recently been looking for a new Manhattan apartment, according to reports, just days after they were photographed appearing tense on the rooftop patio of the one-bedroom residence they currently share.

But friends and relatives say the trial is far from the only source of stress.

Patrick has been the target of baseless conspiracy theories on social media attempting to link him to the deaths of his children, despite no evidence that he was involved.

One family member blasted the online claims as “heinous,” saying the attacks have been deeply damaging.

“Pat has always been the nicest, most supportive person ever,” the relative told the Daily Mail. “He loved his family, he loved his wife, and he did everything he could to support her, and this is just a really sad story.”

The relative added that Patrick appears to be holding up “under the circumstances,” but said the ordeal has been extremely stressful for the entire family.

Patrick moved from the Boston suburbs to Manhattan in May 2023, roughly four months after his children were killed.

Photos of him with Danis began circulating the following year, and by late 2025 she was reportedly seen wearing what appeared to be an engagement ring.

The couple married in April 2026 and have been living together in New York during Lindsay’s trial.

Danis has reportedly found herself pulled into the online backlash as well.

“It’s been tough. She’s hanging in there,” one coworker said.

Another friend was far less restrained when discussing the attacks against the couple.

“People are crazy, and people are stupid, and people are mean-spirited, and people should just worry about themselves,” the friend said. “We need to put more good in the world. Not try to get people. It’s disgusting.”

Patrick has continued to support Lindsay despite the collapse of their marriage and the devastating loss of their children.

At trial, Lindsay’s attorneys have argued that she was suffering from postpartum psychiatric problems and had been prescribed a large number of medications before the killings.

She has also previously said she experienced psychosis and heard a voice telling her to harm the children.

Prosecutors, however, maintain that Lindsay planned the murders and knew they were wrong.

Assistant District Attorney Jennifer Sprague delivered a stark message to jurors before deliberations began.

“The commonwealth did not choose the ages of victims. The defendant did,” Sprague said. “The Commonwealth did not choose the horrific nature in which they died. The defendant did.”

Now, after more than three years of grief, accusations and courtroom battles, Patrick is waiting along with everyone else for the jury’s decision — while attempting to move forward with a new marriage and a new life in Manhattan.
