A California wedding has gone viral for a hilarious reason that had absolutely nothing to do with the bride, groom or ceremony.
The couple tied the knot on July 18 during an outdoor wedding at Estancia La Jolla Hotel & Spa in La Jolla, California.
Because the ceremony took place in the hotel’s Garden Courtyard, guests staying in rooms overlooking the lawn could watch the celebration from their balconies.
And that is exactly how one unexpected wedding “guest” ended up stealing the internet’s attention.
A person watching the ceremony from a third-floor room with their boyfriend said they noticed a shirtless man standing on a balcony across from them, looking down at the wedding.
The problem?
From where he was standing, he was directly in the line of sight of the wedding guests.
Anyone looking toward the end of the aisle could easily spot him.
“The music was playing, and the bridal party made their way down the aisle one by one. And that’s when we noticed him,” the observer explained.
They said they immediately wondered whether the man would move once he realized everyone could see him.
“He has to know he’s standing right at the end of the aisle and that everyone is going to see him?” the onlooker recalled thinking.
But apparently, he stayed put.
That is when the observer grabbed their phone and started recording.
And there was another reason the moment stood out.
The shirtless stranger, they said, looked like a “supermodel.”
“My boyfriend and I were in complete disbelief,” the spectator said.
A woman standing nearby also noticed him.
Days later, the observer posted the video to TikTok, joking in the caption, “The LORD already testing HER.”
The clip exploded online.
It racked up more than 19 million views, 3.7 million likes and thousands of comments.
Viewers immediately started joking that the bride had been handed her first test of temptation before she had even finished walking down the aisle.
“That would be the slowest walk down the aisle,” one person joked.
Another wrote, “I’d walk straight through that bush.”
The official Tinder account even joined in, asking, “Is this a sign?”
Another commenter joked, “Unless that’s my husband the wedding is canceled.”
The person who posted the video said the reaction was wild, but hilarious.
“People were so funny and creative,” they said.
What started as one shirtless hotel guest casually watching a wedding ended up becoming the moment millions of people could not stop talking about.
