A quiet afternoon at Daytona Beach International Airport turned into something out of a movie — only this time, it was all too real.

Authorities say 58-year-old Bryan Parker is now behind bars after allegedly driving a blue Ford Mustang straight through a secured airport gate and onto the active airfield — sending workers and witnesses into shock as the situation rapidly spiraled.

According to the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office, the chaos unfolded around 4:30 p.m. Wednesday. Witnesses watched in disbelief as the car barreled across restricted areas, at one point nearly colliding with a taxiing airplane.

But the danger didn’t stop there.

Investigators say Parker jumped out of the vehicle and ran toward a plane that was not only occupied — but actively running. When he couldn’t get inside, he reportedly pivoted and made his way to two nearby aircraft, managing to briefly enter both before airport personnel intervened.

Even after being pulled out and placed on a truck by airport staff, Parker allegedly wasn’t done. Officials say he jumped off and made another dash toward yet another aircraft before being stopped for good.

Bodycam footage captured the bizarre aftermath — with Parker, now in handcuffs near an active taxiway, admitting he had no clear memory of how things escalated so quickly.

“I don’t remember… I went to an AA meeting, and next thing you know, I’m doing cocaine, drinking and smoking pot,” he told deputies.

When an officer asked if that led to him crashing through the gate, Parker reportedly responded bluntly: “Yeah… and I crashed my car.”

Authorities say Parker was under the influence of alcohol, marijuana, and cocaine during the incident.

He now faces a staggering list of charges, including aircraft piracy, DUI, indecent exposure, criminal mischief, and burglary. He’s currently being held without bond in Volusia County Jail.

The shocking breach has raised serious questions about airport security — and left many wondering just how close this situation came to ending in tragedy.
