Jason Momoa just lived out a real-life disaster movie — and this time, there were no cameras rolling.
The Aquaman star found himself caught in the middle of a violent storm ripping through Hawaii, forcing him and his loved ones to make a sudden escape as conditions spiraled out of control.
Momoa took to Instagram with an emotional video straight from the chaos, revealing he had been staying on Oahu’s North Shore when the situation turned dangerous fast. Floodwaters surged, trees came crashing down, and landslides began threatening entire communities.
“We’re safe now,” Momoa said in the clip, clearly shaken. “But there’s a lot of people who weren’t… sending all our love.”
The actor said the power went out at their home before they were forced to flee the area altogether.
Momoa and his girlfriend later shared a photo embracing inside a home, offering a glimpse into the emotional toll of the unfolding disaster. In their message, they described widespread devastation across the islands — with families displaced and vulnerable communities hit the hardest.
They also urged locals to check on one another as the crisis continues.
Meanwhile, officials say the nightmare is far from over.
The Hawaii Emergency Management Agency warned the storm is still intensifying, with more heavy rain expected and serious concerns mounting over the stability of the Wahiawa dam on Oahu.
Despite the destruction, there’s a small piece of good news — no deaths had been reported as of Saturday afternoon. But authorities confirmed multiple serious injuries, with around 10 people hospitalized for hypothermia and more than 230 residents rescued from dangerous conditions.
Governor Josh Green called the situation ongoing and volatile as crews scramble to respond.
For Momoa, it’s a stark reminder that even superheroes can’t outrun Mother Nature.
