Melania Trump expected Fox News to roll out the red carpet for her new documentary.
Instead, the network’s own viewers are tearing it apart — and analysts say the backlash is so intense it may sink the film before opening night.

The former first lady’s self-titled documentary, directed by Brett Ratner, hits theaters January 30.
But early reactions make clear one thing: even the conservative media empire that helped build the Trump brand now wants nothing to do with Melania’s big-screen debut.

And the comments are brutal.

Fox heavily promoted the documentary as “exclusive access” to Melania’s world.
But its own audience, the very base Trump once counted on, is now openly mocking her.

“Nobody is interested. Trump is forcing people to go see it,” one viewer wrote.

Another added, “I’m not watching that.”
A third commenter didn’t hold back: “She’s the least interesting person alive. A documentary about nothing.”

For a family used to Fox News worship, the sudden hostility is stunning.

A media analyst told us, “This isn’t just criticism. This is revolt. Fox’s audience is done pretending Melania is a cultural icon.”

Melania’s team insists the film offers a glamorous window into her life as she prepares for Donald Trump’s second inauguration. Her agent, Marc Beckman, pitched it as part political history, part runway show.

“There is tons of fashion here. Vogue can’t keep up,” Beckman claimed.

But Fox viewers seem to disagree — loudly.
Many say the project feels out-of-touch during a turbulent second Trump presidency.

“It’s like they think America is dying to watch Melania stare into mirrors,” a Democratic strategist joked. “No one outside Mar-a-Lago wants this.”

Industry reports show tickets barely selling.
Theaters in New York, Palm Beach, and even deep-red counties are reporting empty seats.

British journalist Rob Shuter said insiders told him, “Only a handful of seats have been booked. Even in Trump country, theaters are practically empty.”

One distribution executive put it more bluntly: “If the theaters get any emptier, we’ll have to check if the projector works.”

Streaming numbers on Amazon may eventually help — but early box office forecasts look grim.

Melania continues promoting the film online, posting stylized black-and-white clips and countdown graphics.
One teaser even appeared on the massive Las Vegas Sphere.

She captioned it, “Countdown: 10 Days. Reserve your ticket today.”

But Fox viewers aren’t listening.
Instead of buzz, the comments were filled with eye-roll emojis and skeptical replies demanding to know why the documentary exists at all.

A former Fox News producer noted, “If Fox can’t sell Melania to its own base, no one can. This is a massive red flag.”

The Trump White House is now facing a rare dilemma.
The base that once embraced every Trump-branded product — books, specials, tours, merch — has hit its limit.

And Melania’s documentary appears to be the breaking point.

As one Fox News critic wrote, “We have real problems in this country. Melania’s fashion show isn’t one of them.”

The message is clear:
The Trump machine may still run Washington in 2026…
but even Fox News can’t save Melania’s movie.
