A Republican lawmaker shocked viewers nationwide after declaring that more Americans should expect to die if they interfere with federal immigration agents—one day after a Minneapolis mother was shot dead in her car during a chaotic ICE operation.

Rep. Randy Fine, a newly elected MAGA firebrand from Florida, delivered the explosive remarks on Newsmax Thursday. His comments instantly ignited a political firestorm.

“If you impede law enforcement as they repel foreign invaders, you get what’s coming to you,” Fine said.
“I do not feel bad for the woman. Not one bit.”

Fine then issued a warning that stunned even seasoned political observers.
“If you get in the way of the government, you’re gonna end up just like that lady did yesterday.”

The congressman has been in Washington for less than a year. But he has already positioned himself as one of the most extreme voices in the immigration debate—often referring to migrants as “invaders” and accusing Democrats of orchestrating a “national collapse.”

Pressed for clarification, Fine’s spokesperson doubled down.
“Anyone attacking ICE officers should fear the consequences,” the statement read. “Americans who follow the law have nothing to worry about.”

The Final Moments of Renee Nicole Good

The woman Fine dismissed so casually was 37-year-old Minneapolis mother Renee Nicole Good, whose death is now fueling a nationwide outcry.

ICE initially claimed Good was committing “domestic terrorism” and tried to ram agents with her car.

But video tells a starkly different story.

Good sits in her vehicle. She waves another driver through. ICE agents swarm around her. They shout commands. She backs up slowly. She adjusts the wheel. She drives forward.

Then—three gunshots.
Her body slumps.
Her car rolls into another vehicle and stops.

“She looked scared. She didn’t look dangerous,” said a witness who saw the killing. “They shot before she even understood what was happening.”

Another witness said the agent who fired “walked away like he was clocking out of work.”

Republicans Applaud the Killing

Rather than condemn the shooting, top Republicans raced to defend it.

Rep. Wesley Hunt of Texas said Good essentially invited her own death.
“When a federal officer gives you instructions, you abide by them—and then you get to keep your life,” he said.

Rep. Derrick Van Orden asked on X, “What would drive a 37-year-old suburban woman to violently attack federal law enforcement?” despite evidence showing she did no such thing.

He blamed Democrats for the shooting.
“The left’s demonization of officers is brainwashing people,” he wrote. “This woman never had to die.”

President Donald Trump added fuel to the fire.
He accused Good of “violently and viciously” running over an agent—an accusation not supported by any video. He also claimed a bystander recording the scene was “obviously a professional agitator.”

Rep. Nancy Mace echoed the president, saying protesters looked like “paid agitators.”

Minneapolis Officials Say ICE Created a Powder Keg

Local leaders say Good’s death was “predictable.”

Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O’Hara said ICE had been escalating operations in the city for weeks, creating tension and fear.
“This community has suffered enough,” O’Hara said. “The loss of a human life is a tragedy. This did not need to happen.”

Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey unleashed a furious message aimed directly at ICE:
“Get the f— out of Minneapolis,” he said. “You are not making us safer. You are putting people at risk.”

A City Demands Answers

Crowds flooded the streets Wednesday night, holding signs with Good’s name and demanding the agent’s arrest. Friends describe her as a loving mother, not a criminal or a threat.

“She was gentle,” said one neighbor. “She wasn’t armed. She wasn’t attacking anyone. She was sitting in her car. And now she’s gone.”

Activists say the shooting is part of a disturbing pattern.
“ICE acts like a militarized force,” said one organizer. “And now a mother is dead because of it.”

State investigators have opened a probe, but federal officials continue to defend the shooting.

For many Americans, the message from Washington is terrifyingly clear.

If ICE decides you’re a threat—even without evidence—you may not survive the encounter.
And now a sitting member of Congress is warning that more deaths are on the way.
