Former child star Zachery Ty Bryan just can’t stay out of the headlines — and this time, things got seriously dangerous.

TMZ reports that the Home Improvement actor — best known as Brad Taylor, the oldest son on the ’90s sitcom alongside Tim Allen — was nearly run over by his fiancée, Johnnie Faye Cartwright, during a shocking domestic incident in Oregon. Even more disturbing? Their three young kids were reportedly in the car at the time.

Police in Lane County responded to a call about reckless endangerment and arrived to find Bryan, 44, and Cartwright, 32, arguing near a crashed vehicle. Authorities say Cartwright aimed the truck at Bryan and “hit the gas” after he stepped out — missing him but sending the truck straight into a ditch. Thankfully, no one was injured, and the couple’s children — Kennedy, 3, and 2-year-old twins Parker and Sequoia — were unharmed.

Both Bryan and Cartwright appeared impaired, according to the report, and were arrested at the scene. Cartwright now faces a list of charges including DUI, three counts of reckless endangerment, and attempted first-degree assault.

Bryan wasn’t off the hook either — he was arrested for violating probation from a previous domestic-violence conviction involving Cartwright. It’s his sixth arrest in five years.

The onetime teen heartthrob — who retired from acting in 2009 but resurfaced briefly in Netflix’s The Guardians of Justice — has seen his reputation unravel amid a string of legal troubles. Earlier this year, he was busted for domestic violence; before that, DUIs, robbery, harassment, and even felony strangulation charges have kept his name in the tabloids for all the wrong reasons.

It’s a stunning fall for the onetime sitcom golden boy whose boy-next-door grin once charmed millions.
