Hillary Clinton just marked a major milestone — 50 years of marriage to former President Bill Clinton — by posting a series of rarely seen, almost unrecognizable photos from their 1975 wedding.

“Fifty years ago, we had no idea how our lives would unfold,” she wrote on Instagram Saturday, alongside a nostalgic photo carousel. “But one thing I knew for certain then, and still know now, is that I wanted to navigate the ups and downs and in-betweens with you. Happy anniversary, dear Bill.”

The post featured six vintage film snapshots that offered a glimpse into a very different time — and a very different Hillary and Bill. With baby faces and soft-focus charm, the images felt straight out of a ’70s time capsule.

One photo showed the young couple sharing an intimate gaze, Bill in a wide-lapel suit and polka-dot tie, Hillary wearing her blonde hair in loose curls. The resemblance to their present-day selves was subtle — her familiar blue eyes, his unmistakable grin, and a full head of dark hair that’s long since gone gray.

Other shots captured Hillary alone, candid and radiant. In one, she’s laughing mid-conversation. In another, she throws a side glance with a playful smirk, her vintage lace-trimmed dress rising to her neck, sleeves puffed in true ’70s fashion.

The remaining images included scenes of the couple grinning with wedding guests beneath the trees — simple moments from a quiet ceremony at home in Fayetteville, Arkansas.

Bill Clinton also posted a tribute on Facebook that morning, sharing one solo wedding photo of Hillary standing on a step in her full gown, bouquet in hand, smiling at him. He looked up at her with a champagne glass raised.

“For 50 years, you have kept me thinking, laughing, and growing,” he wrote. “You inspire me every day with your boundless determination to do good in the world. I’m so grateful for you and the life we’ve built together. Happy anniversary, Hillary. Here’s to many more.”

The posts quickly went viral, drawing thousands of comments — some emotional, others reflective, and a few bluntly critical.

A handful of users brought up Bill’s infamous affair with White House intern Monica Lewinsky during his presidency — a scandal that led to his 1998 impeachment and remains a stain on his legacy.

“Too bad he didn’t think about this when he was cheating,” one commenter wrote. “Have to give Hillary credit for standing by him.”

Another joked, “Bro’s doing everything he can to make her forget about the ’90s.”

But most comments praised the couple’s resilience and longevity, especially in the face of so much public scrutiny.

“You are a real testament to persevering through the storms,” one follower commented. “Gorgeous then and gorgeous now.”

“I love you and Bill,” another wrote. “Most couples who are together this long have stories like yours — ours just aren’t in the tabloids.”

The Clintons first met in 1972 at Yale Law School — Hillary reportedly made the first move after catching Bill staring at her in the library. They married three years later in a small ceremony at home, and in 1980, welcomed their only child, Chelsea.

Soon after, they settled in Arkansas, where Bill launched his political career. By 1978, he was elected governor, paving the way for a shared journey that would eventually lead to the White House and beyond.

Now, five decades later, the couple is reflecting not just on their marriage, but on a life full of high-profile challenges and shared victories.

And for all the ups and downs, they seem to agree: they’d still choose each other.
