President Donald Trump has gotten into a fiery text message battle with Oregon Gov. Tina Kotek over his decision to send National Guard troops into Portland. And if the leaked messages prove anything, it’s that Trump texts exactly the same way he posts on Truth Social.

“Governor: The ICE Facility in Portland was attacked again last night. In fact, it, and other Federal Buildings, are being attacked on a nightly basis. We can’t have this,” Trump wrote on Sunday, signing off with “PRESIDENT DONALD J. TRUMP.”

Kotek, a Democrat elected in 2022, shot back that Trump had promised to consult with her before escalating federal action in the state. The president wasn’t having it. “They attacked our ICE Patriots last night, and at other times. If you get your State in order, we don’t come in, but everyone knows that Portland has been an unmitigated disaster for years. I won’t let that happen in America! President DJT,” he replied.

Behind the scenes, the texts may not have even been typed by Trump himself. According to KATU, they were written out by White House aide Natalie Harp — a former One America News Network anchor nicknamed “The Human Printer” for her habit of trailing Trump with a portable printer and handling his screen work for him.

The back-and-forth comes as Trump deployed 200 National Guard troops to Portland to protect ICE facilities from what he repeatedly calls “domestic terrorists” and “ANTIFA.” He’s vowed to use “Full Force, if necessary.” But local police told reporters the nightly protests outside the facilities have been mostly calm, usually involving fewer than 30 people.

Kotek and Oregon Attorney General Dan Rayfield have since filed a lawsuit against the administration, arguing Trump’s “war ravaged” description of Portland is “pure fiction.”

This isn’t an isolated move — Trump has already sent troops or federal agents into Los Angeles, Washington, D.C., and Chicago, and has promised Memphis is next. The White House justifies these deployments as part of a crackdown on crime in Democrat-run cities. But federal data tells a different story, showing violent crime has been on the decline since the pandemic. Polls also indicate nearly 60 percent of voters oppose the use of federal troops in urban areas.

  1. President Trump is the one creating the chaos. Sending the military is not the answer in my opinion. Crimes will not fade as long as there are human beings here on earth. Put away the criminals, and let the local Police do their jobs. Having the military present only escalate the problem.

    1. Democrats/Democrat junkies commit the crimes/murders! We wouldn’t even need police without Democrats! Could go back to only having a few U.S.Marshalls around!

  2. Trump has
totally lost it. Why do his followers keep lapping after him? The military must have some safe guards to not follow his deranged orders.
