President Donald Trump has found a new political foe — and he’s not holding back. The 79-year-old president spent the early hours of Thursday morning unleashing a fresh round of attacks on Maryland Governor Wes Moore, dredging up a year-old controversy over Moore’s military record as their war of words escalates.

The feud began after Moore, a Democrat and U.S. Army veteran, invited Trump to walk the streets of Baltimore with him amid rising tensions over partisan gerrymandering and Trump’s threats to deploy the National Guard in blue states. Trump fired back on social media over the weekend, threatening to pull federal funding from Baltimore.

Moore mocked Trump in response, calling out his “bone spurs” and jokingly offering him a golf cart if walking was “too difficult.”

Trump’s latest salvo came just after 2 a.m. Thursday when he reposted a 2024 article from The Hill detailing Moore’s apology for mistakenly claiming a Bronze Star medal on his 2006 White House Fellowship application. Trump claimed the incident should have been “the end” of Moore’s political career, blasting the governor for being “disrespectful to the Office of the President.”

Moore has previously explained the error, saying he was encouraged by a senior officer to include the honor after being told the Bronze Star was approved — only to later learn it had not been finalized. He called it an “honest mistake” and has since clarified the record, though Trump’s latest attacks suggest he isn’t ready to let the issue go.

The Maryland governor didn’t stay silent either. On Wednesday, Moore clapped back at Trump’s posts, calling his memory “absolutely comical” and doubling down on criticism of the president’s lack of military service during the Vietnam War.

This showdown adds Moore to a growing list of Democratic governors clashing with Trump, joining California’s Gavin Newsom and Illinois’ JB Pritzker. With the 2025 political landscape heating up, this bitter back-and-forth shows no signs of slowing down.

  1. The US people disrespected America by voting for a rapist and felon turning the country into a country for the rich and criminals

  2. There is nothing here about the office of the president.  It’s about the rantings of a want to be dictator.
