President Donald Trump, 79, tried to project strength Friday as he greeted Russian President Vladimir Putin in Anchorage. Instead, all eyes were on his unsteady steps.
Onlookers watched as Trump veered left, then right, visibly struggling to stay centered while walking down a red carpet rolled out on the tarmac at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson. Footage of the moment quickly went viral online, sparking fresh questions about his health and fitness for office.

“He looked like he was losing his balance the whole way down,” said Marie Thompson, a protester outside the base gates. “This is the man who promised to bring Putin to heel? He could barely walk in a straight line.”
When Trump finally reached Putin, he clapped his hands and grinned broadly before the two men shook hands. But critics say the optics couldn’t have been worse: the U.S. commander-in-chief appearing shaky on his feet while the Russian leader strode with confidence.
This isn’t the first time Trump’s physical condition has been questioned. In 2020, he made headlines after appearing to struggle walking down a ramp at West Point. In 2024, cameras caught him gripping railings tightly while descending stairs at rallies.
“Every time he appears in public, there are concerns about his mobility,” said Dr. Jonathan Reiner, a cardiologist and frequent political commentator. “These stumbles, wobbles, and careful steps are not normal for someone in good health.”
The White House dismissed questions about the president’s gait, insisting Trump was “perfectly fine” and chalking up the uneven walk to “wind conditions.”
The awkward scene overshadowed the very purpose of Putin’s visit. Trump had promised a breakthrough on ending the war in Ukraine, but the Alaska summit ended without an agreement.
“Instead of headlines about peace, we’re all talking about Trump wobbling down a red carpet,” said Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-Md.). “It’s a metaphor for his presidency — unstable, embarrassing, and ultimately unproductive.”
Clips of the walk flooded social platforms within hours. On X, one user captioned the video: “Trump can’t walk straight, but somehow he’ll end a war in 24 hours?” Another wrote, “Putin got the strongman optics. Trump got the stumble.”
For Trump, the meeting was meant to showcase his deal-making prowess on the world stage. Instead, it reignited a conversation he’s long tried to avoid: whether America’s oldest president is physically fit enough for the job.

Yeah, they gave Biden a complete pass. Review the video. The reason he fell up the stairs is he was trying to run up them to show how agile he was. What kind of idiotic egotist do you have to be to be an octagenarian who tries to athletically jog up a temporary staircase in front of live TV across the world! So he fell flat on his face, three steps in a row! Nice job, Joe!

Joe Biden issues aside….. let’s say Trump is no longer steady on his feet. Let’s give them that. Would being in a wheel chair make him unable to complete his job? Would that make him unfit? Would that project weakness in our leader?
