Donald Trump is once again making headlines for all the wrong reasons—this time for drooling over actress Sydney Sweeney in a bizarre online rant… and getting her name completely wrong.
In a now-deleted Truth Social post early Monday, Trump referred to Sweeney as “Sidney” before correcting the post—but not before the internet had a field day. The president praised the Euphoria star’s new American Eagle ad, calling it the “HOTTEST” commercial out there and bragging about her “great genes”—yes, genes, not jeans.
“Sydney Sweeney, a registered Republican, has the ‘HOTTEST’ ad out there,” Trump’s updated post read. “It’s for American Eagle, and the jeans are ‘flying off the shelves.’ Go get ‘em Sydney!”
Trump’s fanboy post had a noticeable effect on the market—American Eagle stock reportedly jumped more than 17 percent after his praise went viral. It’s worth noting Trump has long-standing ties with the Schottenstein family, who control American Eagle.
When asked by reporters about Sweeney’s political leanings, Trump couldn’t hide his excitement. “She’s a registered Republican? Now I love her ad,” he said. “You’d be surprised at how many people are Republicans.”
He’s not the only one swooning. Senator Ted Cruz and Vice President JD Vance also jumped on the Sweeney train, with Vance mocking Democrats by saying, “My political advice to the Democrats is continue to tell everybody who thinks Sydney Sweeney is attractive is a Nazi.”
But Trump’s ramble didn’t stop at Sydney. He also took aim at Jaguar, Bud Light, and Taylor Swift in what felt like a chaotic stream of consciousness.
Jaguar, according to Trump, is “a total disaster” for releasing what he called a “seriously WOKE advertisement” featuring colorful outfits and gender-diverse models. “Who wants to buy a Jaguar after looking at that disgraceful ad?” he asked. The company’s recent CEO departure only fueled his attack.
From there, he dragged Bud Light into the conversation, accusing it of going “Woke” and drawing comparisons to the infamous 2023 partnership with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney. That marketing move prompted conservative backlash, including a now-viral video of Kid Rock shooting Bud Light cans with a rifle.
“The market cap destruction has been unprecedented, with BILLIONS OF DOLLARS SO FOOLISHLY LOST,” Trump declared.
And then came Taylor Swift.
Trump circled back to his long-standing dislike of the pop superstar, calling her “Woke” and claiming she was “booed out of the Super Bowl” and is now “NO LONGER HOT.” He ended the tirade with a familiar rallying cry: “Being WOKE is for losers, being Republican is what you want to be. Thank you for your attention to this matter!”
Between misspelled names, stock market spikes, and attacks on pop culture icons, Trump’s Monday meltdown might just be his most chaotic online moment yet.

Sounds like an impeachable offense, but you really can\’t impeach the media for being biased.

We never heard from presidents in the past unless a state of emergency, meeting with foreign dignitary or war started or wars ended. Today its like a sad state of affairs.
Hasn’t anyone had anything to talk about other than Trump? It’s all negative, nothing good at all. Why don’t you talk about him putting America on it’s feet again? I’m really sick of hearing all of the bullshit.
SO WHAT?
