White House calls Behar a “loser” and threatens show cancellation as Trump spirals over Obama comparisons
President Donald Trump has unleashed yet another tirade against the press—this time targeting The View and co-host Joy Behar for daring to suggest he’s jealous of Barack Obama.
During a fiery segment on Wednesday’s Hot Topics, Behar ripped into Trump’s latest conspiracy theory—his baseless claim that former President Obama tried to stage a coup against him. The longtime co-host didn’t hold back.
“Trump is so jealous of Obama, because Obama is everything he’s not: trim, smart, handsome, happily married, and can sing Al Green better than Al Green,” Behar said. “And Trump can’t stand it. It’s driving him crazy.”
The moment quickly went viral. But within hours, the White House delivered a chilling and spiteful response—not just attacking Behar personally, but threatening the future of the show itself.
“Joy Behar is an irrelevant loser suffering from a severe case of Trump Derangement Syndrome,” a White House spokesperson told Entertainment Weekly. “She should self-reflect on her own jealousy of President Trump’s historic popularity before her show is the next to be pulled off air.”
The comment sparked immediate backlash from free speech advocates, entertainment figures, and political observers who say the president is once again weaponizing his office to intimidate critics.
This isn’t just a one-off.
Trump has already taken public credit for the cancellation of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, reportedly celebrating it as a “win” during a closed-door campaign event in Florida earlier this month. Many insiders believe the cancellation was a strategic move by Paramount to smooth its pending merger with Skydance Media, which still requires FCC approval—an agency now stacked with Trump loyalists.
“Trump is on a revenge tour,” said a former White House aide speaking on background. “If you’re on TV and you mock him, you’re a target.”
Industry insiders have noted that The View, long a thorn in Trump’s side, may now face similar pressure—despite the show’s strong performance.

Trump’s obsession with Obama is nothing new. From falsely claiming Obama wasn’t born in the U.S. to accusing him of “spying” on his 2016 campaign, Trump has long treated his predecessor as a political boogeyman.
But in 2025, with his approval ratings underwater and the Epstein revelations gaining traction, Trump appears increasingly unhinged.

I had it. It kept creeping up to the cost of $900 per month.
Then I was told I could get $800 a month but only pay $400 with a $400 tax credit. My income never increased. But after 2 years of tax credits the wanted $8,000 back. Took me 2 years to pay it. Yeah, we get taxed on tax credits.
Why is this show still around? All it does is spread hate and discontent, go away once and for all.
That show needs taken off the air…and…. Whoopi needs a complete MAKE OVER.
