In 2015, the birth of her daughter sparked a profound shift. “It was the first thread pulled from my old life,” Glasse recalls. Raised in strict evangelical traditions, her faith was once her entire world. “My faith was all I knew. It was the imprint through which I saw everything,” she says.

A final turning point came when a man bluntly stated, “This is what happens when women read.” That moment lit a fire. By 2019, Glasse had left her church and embraced a new path.

Today, Glasse splits her time between New York and Tennessee. An Oxford graduate, she now leads a powerful initiative. On March 10, 2025, she launched the nonprofit This Is What Happens When Women Read.
