At a Pittsburgh rally on Thursday, former President Barack Obama took to the stage in support of Vice President Kamala Harris, delivering sharp criticism of Donald Trump while adding a few lighthearted moments. Obama questioned whether Trump had ever done basic everyday tasks like changing a tire or a diaper, sparking a humorous moment when someone from the crowd yelled, “His own!” The former president laughed, saying he almost made the same joke himself.
Obama spent much of his speech challenging Trump’s approach to leadership, noting the dissatisfaction some voters feel about the current economy but questioning whether Trump is the solution. “What I cannot understand is why anybody would think that Donald Trump will shake things up in a way that is good for you, Pennsylvania,” Obama remarked.
He painted Trump as self-centered, saying, “There is absolutely no evidence that this man thinks about anybody but himself,” a critique Obama has raised in the past. He also spoke highly of Harris’ proposal to offer a $6,000 tax credit for new parents, recalling his own experience with diaper duty and asking, “Do you think Donald Trump ever changed a diaper?” The crowd’s mix of laughter and “no”s underscored the point.
Obama continued to compare Trump’s lack of practical skills to figures like Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, who, he said, could “take a vintage truck apart and put it back together again.” He doubted Trump’s ability to do the same and humorously asked if anyone could imagine Trump changing a tire.
The 44th president’s critique wasn’t limited to Trump’s personal abilities. He accused Trump of being more interested in selling products like sneakers and watches than helping the middle class. “It’s crazy, and the reason he does it is because all he cares about is his ego and his money,” Obama said.
Turning to policy, Obama emphasized the stakes, warning that Trump’s proposed tax cuts would benefit the wealthy while burdening the middle class. He also touched on Trump’s actions during the January 6th Capitol insurrection, pointing out that Trump was reportedly indifferent to Vice President Mike Pence’s safety during the attack.
“If Donald Trump does not care that a mob might attack his own vice president, do you think he cares about you?” Obama asked, urging Pennsylvanians to vote.
Obama also addressed the audience earlier at a Black Voters for Harris event in East Liberty, urging Black men not to shy away from supporting Harris because of her gender. “Women in our lives have been getting our backs this entire time,” he reminded them, challenging the notion that putting women down is a show of strength.
In his speech, Obama encouraged action, pushing the crowd to vote rather than boo, insisting, “They can’t hear your boos, but they can hear your votes!”ebody who has a history of denigrating you, because you think that’s a sign of strength because that’s what being a man is? Putting women down? That’s not acceptable.”

I find this disgusting period. Since Obama seems to want to trash people just to get a vote for Kamala, I am going to vote republicans in November. I have been a democrat for many years but this is sinking to a new low. I decided to do some research on things and have found out just how corrupt and the democrats have been for years. If I was Obama I would hide in the hills. You want to know why America is in the toilet just search what has Obama has set up for Americans. But to do what he did at DNC and this is just pathetic. The democrats have lied to us for years and don’t give a hoot about America at all. Power, control and being a president for 12 of the past 16 years is not democracy. Obama’ had even controlled government during President Trump administration. I can’t vote for more destruction of my country by the left not to mention how betrayed I feel. We need to find out where all our money has gone for over 30+ years. Who actually got money for all these initiatives that don’t even exist. Democrats have set President Trump on everything that has happened and Obama controls it all from inside our government. I finally seen what President Trump and his supporters are saying are true. Democrats have broken every law there is for years. Any rino involved with helping democrats should all be charged with treason at the least. I am ashamed for allowing democrats to suck me into their corruption and lies. No more I will vote for republicans all on my ballot. I seen evidence of democrats rigging elections for years and yes it is true. Listen to my words. A vote for democrats you are giving up everything this country stands for and will be in communist China rule by Obama and elites. Understand on elites will live free because they are backing democrats for years so they are safe. You see it’s pat you play. Every person, businesses and organizations that have kept democrats rich are only ones who will live free. Wake up before it’s to late. Why do you think they have been flooding country with criminal illegals not just to vote and keep them in office but also to control us. They aren’t afraid to kill anyone. Why do you think they have received all the things we don’t get. The democrats have already bought their killing machines. God help us all. Look how they have treated republicans in those areas of destruction lately. They gave illegals and foreign countries millions while saying to red districts oh well you don’t matter. The democrats have been sabotaging republicans at ever turn. I realize the reason they attack President Trump, it’s because he knows things that the democrats have done and democrats can’t have him tell all with the evidence.
