Former President Donald Trump made controversial remarks on Monday during an interview on The Hugh Hewitt Show, where he suggested that certain migrants possess “bad genes” that predispose them to criminal behavior.

In the interview, Trump criticized Vice President Kamala Harris and her policies, accusing her without evidence of pushing for a communist agenda.

“She wants government housing, government feeding… She wants to feed people governmentally,” Trump claimed, as host Hugh Hewitt remained largely silent. Trump alleged that Harris’ policies were out of touch, labeling them as “far off” and suggesting she was clueless.

Trump also targeted Harris’ handling of immigration, reiterating his belief that the country is facing a border crisis, and linking immigration to genetics.

He claimed, without citing specific evidence, that some migrants entering the U.S. have “bad genes,” stating, “13,000 of which were murders, many of them murdered far more than one person… now a murderer, I believe this, it’s in their genes.”

Throughout his political career, Trump has occasionally referenced genetics, at times suggesting a link between race, immigration, and hereditary traits. In 2020, during a campaign rally in Minnesota, he told an audience that they had “good genes,” prompting discussions about his views on race and immigration.

Trump’s comments continue to generate debate as he remains a prominent figure in U.S. politics, with his views on immigration and genetics drawing both support and criticism.
