A video of Barron Trump has gone viral following rumors that Donald Trump could miss his son’s graduation because of his New York criminal trial.
The former president was indicted in March 2023 on 34 counts of falsifying business records, reportedly to cover up “hush money” payments to adult film star and alleged Trump mistress Stormy Daniels ahead of the 2016 general election. The 77-year-old has pleaded not guilty to all charges.
Jury selection for the trial commenced on Monday, with Trump’s lawyers requesting that the presumptive Republican presidential nominee miss proceedings on May 17 so he can attend Barron’s high school graduation ceremony.
Although New York Judge Juan Merchan denied Trump’s request to skip court to attend a Supreme Court hearing on his presidential immunity claims, he has yet to rule on the graduation request.
Merchan said the decision was dependent on whether or not the trial is running on schedule. However, he confirmed that the business mogul could face arrest if he fails to show, with Trump calling the judge “pure evil” on Truth Social.
After news broke that Trump might miss his son’s graduation, a video of Barron went viral on social media. Beginning with a baby photo, the clip shows Trump’s youngest child through the years.

Shared to X, formerly Twitter, by user @PapiTrump, the montage was soundtracked with comments Trump made to the press outside Manhattan Criminal Court on Monday.
“It looks like the judge will not let me go to the graduation of my son who’s worked very, very hard and he is a great student,” he said.
“He’s a great student and he’s very proud of the fact [that] he did so well and was looking forward for years to having his graduation with his mother and father there. It looks like the judge isn’t going to allow me to escape the scam. This is a scam trial.
“I just want to thank you very much, but I can’t go to my son’s graduation, or that I can’t go to the United States Supreme Court, or that I’m not in Georgia or Florida or North Carolina, campaigning like I should be.
“It’s perfect for the radical left Democrats, that’s exactly what they want. This is about election interference, that’s all it’s about.”
Alongside the post, @PapiTrump wrote: “BARRON WILL NEVER FORGET!!!”
Since being shared on Tuesday, the video has received more than 222,000 views.
Supporters were angered by the possibility that Trump might miss the 18-year-old’s graduation ceremony, with QuickSilver commenting: “Evil robs joy from children.”
“Those radical leftist judges have no sense of conscience or integrity,” Jane said.
“Very sad situation,” wrote Maria Lehmann, while Cindy H. said: “This makes them look bad, not him.”
However, others mocked the post and the former president, with Gary Antonucci calling the clip “creepy.”
“Daddy in court for breaking laws, heartbreaking,” said @cheermeupuk.
“Never forget dad is a criminal,” wrote Boone.
“That daddy cheated on mommy when I was still in her womb?” said Bubba, referring to allegations that Trump had an affair with Daniels while Melania was pregnant with Barron.
“He will never forget, not forgive, what a horrible and narcissistic father he had,” said @GytisS.
Born in 2006, Barron is Trump’s son with wife Melania Trump. The Apprenticestar also shares Donald Trump Jr., 46, Ivanka Trump, 42, and Eric Trump, 40, with his late first wife, Ivana Trump, as well as Tiffany Trump, 30, with ex-wife Marla Maples.

If Trump’s attorney paid the nondisclosure Money, a rational argument can be made that is/was a valid expense… if it’s denied as an expense it is merely a matter of paying taxes due on the denied expense. This isn’t a crime… it’s a tax negotiation. This trial is a fiasco!
