It was a scary moment, all caught on camera, as a woman clung to hood of a speeding car after her French bulldog was stolen in downtown Los Angeles.
Ali Zacharias was enjoying lunch with her dog, Onyx, at a Whole Foods at around 2:30 p.m. on Jan. 18, she told NewsNation’s affiliate KTLA.
Onyx was sitting underneath Zacharias’ chair when suddenly, a woman began calling to the dog while approaching the table.
The woman then grabbed Onyx’s leash and began to walk away with him.
“I didn’t think that somebody was stealing my dog,” Zacharias recounted. “I thought it was a misunderstanding, so I said, ‘That’s my dog. Excuse me,’ and she wasn’t listening.”
The suspect continued walking outside to a getaway car that was awaiting her.
“I tried to follow her into the car, but I got in there and there were four people in the car,” the victim said.
The suspects pushed her out and locked the doors. Thinking fast and hoping to stop the thieves from escaping, Zacharias decided to step in front of the car while screaming for help.
“Nobody came and the next thing I know, the car is driving into me and I fell onto the hood,” she said.
Harrison Pessy was crossing the street when he suddenly heard tires screeching and a woman screaming.

Nowhere in the story mentions the race of the thieves. This being California, it could have been Mexicans OR rednecks.
Well, the usual response from Mr German. The lady SAID they were all 13%ers, 3 fat women and one gang tatted man. Rednecks? In progressive-fascist LA? Hardly. Hispanics? Sure, but they are into distributing or selling drugs and kids. Theft and carjacking are the normal criminal activities by the 13%ers. And the majority of shootings and violent crime in the US. That car was also likely stolen.

This story is missing a lot of information available from the media.
I never had a dog people would even consider stealing or had the bravery to go near without my permission. I prefer large mutts, they are healthier, more intelligent and you can save their lives by picking them up at a nearby shelter. The ‘designer dogs” puppy mills give me the creeps
Also, It would have been less risky and more productive instead of hanging on the windshield, just step back and make a note or a picture of their license plate
Agree with your dog sentiments. But four headshots would have been productive in criminal coddling progressive LA. But if you stand up to thugs in LA (and much of Dem infested coastal CA) the DAs and courts see you as the problem (as in “1984” England and AUS nowadays).
