Nine people, including one NYPD cop, were injured by an out-of-control driver in Midtown Manhattan early Monday morning, blocks away from Times Square’s New Year’s Eve festivities.

The incident happened around 1:30 a.m. at 7th Avenue and West 34th Street, the NYPD said – just 10 blocks from where a million revelers had watched the New Year’s Eve ball drop an hour and a half earlier.

When officers tried to intervene in a dispute, a 44-year-old man fled the scene in his car, striking several marked police cars, one police officer and six pedestrians, police said.

The injured cop was taken to NYU Langone Health, where he was listed in stable condition with a minor injury, authorities said.

The six injured pedestrians were taken to Bellevue Hospital, where their conditions are also considered stable, cops said.

The fleeing driver also rammed into a food truck – causing another passerby, a 39-year-old woman, to become pinned underneath it, police said.

The car a man drove and crashed while fleeing police is seen on 34th St. and 9th Ave. in Manhattan, Monday, Jan. 1, 2024.

She too was taken to Bellevue in stable condition, officials said.

The out-of-control motorist was transported to the same hospital, where he was listed in critical but stable condition, authorities said.

Charges were pending against him later in the morning.

Police could not confirm any information on whoever had been involved in a dispute with the motorist. The driver was alone in his vehicle when he was apprehended, cops said.

Three vehicles — two black sedans and a taxi cab — were among the wrecked vehicles found at the scene.
