Fox News medical analyst Marc Siegel speculated on Thursday that President Joe Biden has a 50 percent chance of not surviving a potential second term.
Speaking to Piers Morgan on Fox News Tonight, Siegel said his main concern about Biden—who would be 86 by the time a second term ends in 2029—was not his age per se.
“I think it’s a question of cognitive fitness and fitness in general, fitness for office,” he said. Siegel went on to say “cognitive testing should be in order” and spoke about the president’s health issues.
“He has an irregular heartbeat and that irregular heartbeat—he’s on blood thinners—so that if he falls, and again, I don’t want to be indelicate here, but if he falls and hits his head next time, you know MSNBC says, ‘Where’s the Secret Service?’ Well, Secret Service could be right on top of him and he can bang his head and have a bleed, God forbid.”
Siegel added that “your life span shortens” with an irregular heartbeat diagnosis.
“So yes, there is probably a 50 percent chance, God forbid, that he wouldn’t survive another term just on the basis of his underlying health issues and that he’s on blood thinners for this irregular rhythm.”

I personally think it’s not good reporting to repeat the politically motivated and biased speculations of a “Fox News” “doctor”.
DR. Marc K. Siegel is a physician and clinical professor of medicine at NYU Langone Medical Center. He has a practice in Internal Medicine. He’s an author, and contributor to The Hill, The Wall Street Journal, Slate, Fox News, and member of the board of contributors at USA Today.
He IS a “doctor”.
Considering that Trump is obese, has poor eating habits and have already shown plenty of signs of mental degradation and is about the same age as Biden, I put his odds at 70/30…..and I probably have, as an insurance agent a greater credibility than any “Fox Medical Analyst”.
On Obama first election, I did not voted for McCain for fear of his mortality and we be stuck with President Palin….well he survived long enough to become a thorn on Trump’s back end….Hail John McCain.
I’ll take my chances and vote for Biden.. Worst case scenario we have Harris as President and that is still a much better option than either Trump or DeSantis. Harris may not be exciting , but she is not likely to end Democracy as either one of those two “dictators wannabe”
I may never be a Democrat, but I am not voting for my GOP until all the fascists, racists and MAGA morons become irrelevant again as they were and always should be.
I totally agree with Dr Siegel , my Mother and Sister died from complications of Alzheimers and it is a horrible illness I voted for Trump two times and feel he did a fantastic job as Potus but will not vote for him again as as I feel his demeaning of other GOP candidates is atrocious and he needs to show respect for others and stop being such a bully
We are all dying everyday.. stupid article
