Tensions are running high at CNN following the controversial decision to provide former President Donald Trump with a platform for a Town Hall event. Insiders have revealed that morale among employees is at an “all-time low,” with many perceiving the move as a desperate ratings grab rather than a meaningful journalistic endeavor.

According to sources speaking to RadarOnline.com, CNN staffers were largely opposed to granting Trump a platform where he could freely express his views without significant pushback. “No one wanted Trump on the air at CNN in a town hall format where he was just allowed to basically run his mouth unchecked,” revealed an insider. “Staffers did everything possible not to get stuck working on the special.”

Insiders further disclosed that Trump’s presence was not well-received, as he maintained his characteristic macho persona both on and off the stage. “Trump came onto set like the bully and just owned the night, spewing whatever lies he wanted. It was just gross,” shared an insider. “The facts didn’t matter. It’s just Trump’s truth.” The source added that while employees understood the network’s desire for improved ratings, they believed Trump was not the solution.

“It was going to be the ratings blockbuster CNN needed, but the entire network is already in shambles because of all the talent that has recently been fired or just left,” explained one individual. “Morale was already low, but this changed everything. CNN is a ghost of what it once was.” Another source highlighted the discontent among newsroom staff about Trump appearing on the same network that he had frequently accused of spreading “fake news.”

“The hypocrisy of having Trump on the air,” scoffed an insider, “knowing it’s for a ratings grab only.” While CNN’s anchors are reportedly focused on their feelings about Trump’s appearance, one insider pointed out that Anderson Cooper was blaming the American public for the situation.

Amidst the dissatisfaction, there is speculation about who bears responsibility for the network’s current state. CNN’s former President, Jeff Zucker, was recently replaced by Chris Licht after his secret affair with network executive Allison Gollust was exposed. Both Zucker and Gollust subsequently resigned. However, insiders suggest that Licht’s promised revitalization of CNN has not materialized, leading to suspicions that he may soon find himself out of a job as well.

The discontent among CNN staffers reflects a deeper concern about the network’s direction and its balance between journalistic integrity and ratings-driven programming. As employees grapple with these internal conflicts, the future of CNN remains uncertain.

  1. The mistake was not giving Trump time, the mistake was not opening the audience to also people that may disagree with him. OR have no audience at all
If you want real discourse, do not limit the audience to the MAGA sycophants.
