Police found the victim of a fatal hit-and-run next to a scooter in Pennsylvania, and now officers say they found the woman responsible for his death.

Last week, the West Lampeter police in Pennsylvania announced charges against 18-year-old Anya Myers. She turned herself in to police and was charged with involuntary manslaughter and one count of careless driving.

Around 7 a.m. on April 27, police responded to a report of an unconscious man in the road.

Officers arrived and found the victim with serious head injuries, according to police. The victim was later identified as Samuel S. King, 32. Police also found a scooter near the victim.

There were no other vehicles in the area, police said.

King was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police found the vehicle involved in the incident later the same day, but Myers wasn’t charged until weeks later. Investigators say the teen has been cooperating throughout the investigation.
