Famous Trans Actress Found Dead

In a shocking incident, 26-year-old trans model, Sherin Celin Mathew, has been found dead at her rented apartment in Kochi, Kerala, as per police. 

The transwoman was living in the district of Chakkaraparambu in the city. As per reports, Sherin’s roommates found her hanging from a ceiling fan. 

Even though she hailed from the neighbouring Alappuzha district, the model-actress had been staying in the rented apartment for some years. As per news reports, Sherin Celin Mathew was suffering from depression due to some personal differences with some of her friends. 

Last year, the death of RJ Anannyah Kumari had shook her fans. The transwoman was believed to have died by suicide in 2021. She had earlier alleged medical negligence in her sex reassignment surgery and her friends and family had protested against the hospital and the surgeon, Dr Arjun Asokan. Kerala Health Minister had then ordered a probe in the case.

She was 25 years old and had left behind a note in which she had repeatedly apologised. “My mental state is not good… So I felt better to do this. I am sorry.. Even now I am feeling not to do this but Papa Momy so sorry..”, she wrote. 

The four-page death note was dated Sep 27, 28 and 30, as per a report. Police had then suspected that she decided to take this step three days ago.
