A 16-year old is reportedly still unconcious in the hospital ICU after his so-called friends from school attacked him brutally in the middle of the street during a party. The victim’s family seems to believe the attack on their son was nothing but a setup.
This teenage boy, Cole Hagen, is a junior student at Brazoswood High School and a varsity football player. The institute falls about an hour south of Houston. On Friday, 3rd December, Cole was lured to a party by his “supposed friends“. This information was provided by Cole’s older brother, Cory Hagen to KPRC-TV, an NBC-affiliated television station.
Cory explained how his younger brother Cole had been invited to a social gathering in the Lake Jackson farms neighbourhood. He went on to say that shortly after Cole arrived at the party, another teenager informed Cole that his car had been damaged. In a natural response to such news, Cole rushed outside to check his vehicle.
Not even a minute later, Cole was attaked and brutally beaten by his “supposed friends”. His older brother added that one of the students from the group that attaked Cole hit him with a “blunt object” on the back of his head. He suspects that the “ring leader” had been planning this attack and the party since earlier this week. Once this group fled the scene, the “ring leader” texted one of Cole’s close friends saying, “Go get your boy out of the street.”
Other students who were at the gathering reported that once they were done attacking Cole, they left him lying on the ground outside. Cole was then admitted at the Memorial Hermann Hospital since Friday evening on December 3 after this horrendous incident. After doctors checked him, they reported three different skull fractures.
The victim’s family is offering $20,000 as a reward to any student who may have a video of this attack. Since almost everyone uses a smartphone these days and with the onset of sharing every minute thing on social media, retrieving a video of the attack wouldn’t be impossible.
‘Senseless act of brutality’
In his interview with KPRC-TV, Cory expressed his feelings. “What I am feeling is ah, it’s a roller coaster of the most extreme grief you can imagine. To see him hurt and for him to be attacked in this senseless act of brutality, it’s unimaginable.”
Since numerous students from Brazoswood High were a part of this incident, the school has also issued a statement that said, “We are aware that a Brazoswood High School student was the victim of an off-campus assault at a Lake Jackson residence by another Brazoswood student over the weekend. The student involved will not be on campus.”

Don’t count on the criminal justice system!!!!
if they know the identity of the student and say he will not be allowed on campus, why haven’t the police picked him up? I don’t get it, are the protecting the identity of the thug that did this0
Lake Jackson Farms is an affluent subdivision in Lk Jackson, a bedroom community of a large NA Chemical Company an hour south of Houston. That this happened is beyond me and I hope someone may have caught this on security camera or the other kids come forward and the perpetrators are prosecuted to the full extent of the law as adults.
What a bunch of cowards. Today’s youth has lost their way. Where are the parents? Prayers for this young man for a speedy recovery. His parents should sue each family that had a family member involved. Those who jumped this young man need to feel the full force of Law Enforcement and the courts. This was Pre-Meditated attempted murder with a deadly weapon or at least felony assault.
These are our future leaders, GOD HELP US.
This world has gone to pot, when one very young student attacks another young student and puts him in a coma is a travesty. God help the guilty and God reach down and heal the injured one.
W H Y?!!! DOES ANYONE KNOW W H Y? Not that anything excuses such a violent, hateful, sadistic attack, but surely something instigated this!? Other than a complete lack of leadership at the highest levels down through schoolboards right now in this country – Texas would not have been put in that bracket I don’t think!
If the school knows the student that did this the person with the knowledge of the perpetrator should be held as an accomplice to the crime if he does not come forth with the identity of the person or persons involved.
