A man who aimed a firearm at a woman after she turned up on his doorstep asking for help has posted a video of the incident online while urging others to “practice your second amendment.”
The man, who has been posting videos on TikTok under the username beardedtokolosh3, drew criticism over his response to the woman on the clip.
Footage of the confrontation has now been viewed more than 11.6 million times and can be watched here:
In the video, which is captioned on-screen “3:50 AM….. You picked the wrong house lady!” A camera mounted to the side of the man’s front door captures a woman loitering on the porch outside his house.
“This lady walks up to my door, she doesn’t ring the bell, she doesn’t even knock,” an accompanying voice-over explains.
“She fakes like she’s knocking but my camera notified me there’s a person at the door.”
Beardedtokolosh3 claimed on the clip that her behavior was consistent with that of a robbery.
“Some of you guys have seen people do this before or you’ve heard about it,” the voiceover states. “They act like they are in trouble or distressed and then they try and get in your house for a home invasion.”
Evidently fearing for his safety, the man then decided to take action. “I grabbed my second amendment and look what happened,” the voiceover says. The man is heard coming to the door, at which point he asks: “What do you want?”
“Oh, hi,” the woman responds, sheepishly. “What the f*** do you want, it’s 3:30 in the morning,” he says. At that point, she can be heard asking to use his phone before being cut off mid-sentence by the unmistakable sound of a gun being loaded.
“Get the f*** away,” the man says, with the woman replying “okay” before quickly dashing off. The man ends the video by urging followers to “practice your second amendment” should they find themselves facing similar problems.
Second amendment rights and, specifically, the right to bear arms remain a source of much debate in the U.S. According to the Pew Research Center, 40 percent of adults live in a household with a gun, with 30 percent saying they personally own one.
Personal protection was also cited as the top reason for owning a firearm by 63 percent of those polled in a 2019 Gallup survey on the topic. Though a Pew Research Center study found that 48 percent of Americans saw gun violence as a big problem, the Supreme Court is actually considering relaxing some current gun control laws.
Given this backdrop, Beardedtokolosh3’s actions, perhaps unsurprisingly, proved divisive. There were some on TikTok who were highly critical of his approach.
Tollxdo commented: “That was a little much, sure practice your 2nd amendment but I mean, c’mon.” Adreu agreed: “You’re just a paranoid dude, you don’t know the girl’s situation at the time. You’re assuming! Paranoid scared little boy.”
Buckeyes_lil suggested: “Next time just call 911 and help the chick instead of pulling a gun. Calling the cops could have saved her and you don’t even have to open the door.”
Yet, by contrast, many felt the man had been justified in brandishing his gun.
Candic Snow Palmer said: “If she actually needed help she woulda actually knocked.” User1038392022 added: “His job is to protect his family, not her.”
Shelley Bellee, meanwhile, commented: “This woman did not look like she was in trouble at all. She was up to something.” Icy Wyatt also claimed: “This is a very common home invasion scheme.”
Responding in a follow-up video, Beardedtokolosh3 said he did call the police but they arrived “an hour later.”
“My 12 gauge is always better than 911,” he added.
In a further video responding to the criticism, he also highlighted several recent home invasions reported in the news which started with a lone woman knocking on a homeowner’s door before the residence was stormed by four other armed robbers.

Tollxdo sounds like the scared little boy who probably wouldn’t have the balls to defend himself or his family. This guy doesn’t have to care what her situation is and nobody asks to use someone’s phone at 3:30 am with the world we live in. Everyone has a phone these days and she didn’t appear to be in any distress. I would have also defended my home and never open the door like Tollxdo would do, this idiot would probably help load his possessions right before they kill him. I would have called the police as soon as this thing set foot on my property since I live in a area where we still respect the police and they show up fast when called.
Buckeyes_lil also sounds pretty stupid considering this woman was in no distress and I am sure had a phone, god you people are so gullible you must be liberals.
The last paragraph is exactly what I was going to say…She knocks, the homeowner opens the door, and suddenly all 5 of her boyfriends rush in. It’s always better to be judged by 12 than carried by 6.
Hear, hear !
AMEN! Well said!
Condemned for being”paranoid” at 3 in the morning? Are you all nuts? You don’t read much news.
Protect home and family first.
I know! Until it happens too you you cannot condemn. This man was 100% correct. A 2nd amendment loaded and in your hand. Yell at visitor, or call cops or both. 5 wanted felons. Surrounding house vehicles left quarter mile away ,a woman with 6 kids under 10.. Drunks, naked people, drug dealers insisting they were at right address,. 4 teenagers insisting you let them in your house. Being shot at 3 times, suicides, vehicle burnt in front of house. Explosions, spouse shot at once in air above head another in ground in front of him. Cars driving Ng into property doing kitty’s in the yard. Got ng through fences taking poles out. Constant gun fire.people INSISTING I PAY THEM TO ROOF MY HOUSE SHOW UP bucket of tar role of tar paper telling me I will pay them too fix roof. 4 men. Run them off, they tell me I can’t run them off the goverment, says I don’t own my property. Sales people who stick their foot in the door. After I tell them no. And they tell me I have no choice, because they have too make quota . Cops won’t do anything it’s not their beat and don’t call them. Sheriff is so dmn busy it’s 45 minutes till they make it. So what’s a citizen too do take the abuse and terrorism. Or stick a 12 gauge up their nose?
I think he did the right thing. I would call 911, turn all the all the outside lights I have on, yell the cops are on the way, and if I could video with my cell phone from window whatever I could in hopes of getting a photo of someone or a vehicle involved. If the woman was really in trouble she would be banging on the door and screaming for help! Lots of evil sickos out there today!
I realize it’s merely an illustration, but finger on the trigger is a bad practice. That’s a Tokarev, isn’t it/
3 AM
A woman alone
Asking for help
3 AM
He has every right to protect himself from any threat no matter what it appears to be at first. Once the facts are in then we can go to help.
3 am knock on the door is enough to scare anybody these days and with Biden and the corrupt Democrats creating all this violence to keep everybody confused so that the people don’t know what happening until it to late to put a stop to their plan of destroying America as we know it and also as we like it. These Democrats should stop to realize that if they keep teeing off the American people they are going to create a revolution to which million of American will come to the Capital to drag all of the Traitors out and only God knows what will become of those Hypocrites once and for all.
