Savannah Guthrie is refusing to give up hope.
Two weeks after her 84-year-old mother, Nancy Guthrie, was abducted from her Tucson, Arizona home, the Today co-host is making an emotional public plea directly to whoever is responsible.
In a newly posted Instagram video captioned “Bring her home,” the 54-year-old television anchor looked straight into the camera and delivered a heartfelt message to her mom’s captors.
“It’s never too late,” she said. “You’re not lost or alone. And it is never too late to do the right thing.”
Savannah shared that she and her siblings, Camron and Annie, are still holding onto hope that their mother is alive.
“We still believe,” she said. “We believe in the essential goodness of every human being. And it’s never too late.”
Nancy was reportedly taken in the early morning hours of February 1 from her $1 million home in Tucson. Authorities say a masked man was captured on her doorbell camera the night she disappeared.
Investigators believe the suspect is between 5-foot-9 and 5-foot-10 with an average build. He was seen wearing a ski mask and carrying a 25-liter Ozark Trail Hiker Pack backpack. At one point, he allegedly tried to block the doorbell camera with flowers ripped from Nancy’s entranceway before yanking the camera off the frame entirely.
Blood was later found on Nancy’s front porch.
No arrests have been made.
Federal authorities are now waiting on DNA results from a glove discovered near the home. Officials say it matches the type worn by the masked figure seen on camera.
Investigators have also collected DNA from an unidentified individual found at the property — someone not known to Nancy or her family.
The Pima County Sheriff’s Department has sent the evidence to a private forensic lab in Florida rather than the FBI’s lab in Quantico, Virginia — a move that has sparked criticism.
Retired FBI supervisory special agent Jason Pack warned that time is critical in a case like this, especially given Nancy’s age and reported medical needs.
“If the FBI has the lead, Quantico is the logical answer,” he said, stressing that in cases involving a vulnerable elderly victim, evidence should be processed immediately.
He added that authorities can’t afford to lose precious hours while waiting for lab results.
Nancy reportedly requires heart medication, adding even more urgency to the search.
As investigators work behind the scenes, Savannah is keeping the pressure on publicly — and emotionally.
Her message is simple, direct, and deeply personal:
Do the right thing. Bring her home.
