Jeopardy host Ken Jennings is back in political attack mode — and this time he’s taking fresh aim at President Donald Trump’s administration.

The game show legend, 50, jumped into the online backlash over a string of explosive recent controversies, including the shocking abduction of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro during a deadly raid and an ICE agent’s fatal shooting of a Minnesota woman that Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem rushed to label “domestic terrorism.”

“The ‘prosecute the former regime at every level’ candidate has my vote in 2028,” Jennings wrote on Bluesky in a post shared Wednesday, making it crystal clear how he feels about the Trump years — and what he wants to see next.

In another post, he compared America’s endless appetite for “regime change” to his own half-hearted New Year’s resolutions:

“America is always like ‘ok but the NEXT regime change will work,’ like when I ‘cut out carbs’ briefly every January.”

Even in a grim news cycle, Jennings couldn’t resist a little internet snark.

“Been a dark week,” he added, “but I just saw someone reply to an ‘Abolish ICE’ post with a scoldy Bluesky ‘Uh, try abolish DHS’ and that joy will sustain me for a little while.”

Entertainment Weekly has reached out to the White House for comment.

Jennings has never exactly been shy about his politics, but his blunt posts still manage to raise eyebrows.

The trivia superstar first became a household name in 2004, when he won more than $2.5 million during an incredible 75-game Jeopardy streak. Years later, after Alex Trebek’s death in 2020, Jennings was handpicked by producers — and given a blessing from Trebek’s widow, Jean — to take over as permanent host.

But his habit of tweeting whatever’s on his mind almost blew up that dream job.

In 2021, a Wall Street Journal report revealed that Sony opted to rotate through guest hosts like Mayim Bialik, Anderson Cooper, and Katie Couric after old Jennings posts resurfaced — including one that read, “Nothing sadder than a hot person in a wheelchair,” and another that mocked a young Barron Trump after the infamous Kathy Griffin severed-head photo.

After intense backlash, Jennings issued a public apology.

“Sometimes I said dumb things in a dumb way and I want to apologize to people who were (rightfully!) offended,” he wrote. “It wasn’t my intention to hurt anyone, but that doesn’t matter: I screwed up.”

If anyone thought becoming a prime-time host would make Jennings tone it down, his recent posts prove otherwise.

Last June, he penned a New York Times op-ed arguing that Jeopardy’s focus on knowledge and critical thinking could “save our republic” — while roasting Trump official Kristi Noem for flubbing the legal definition of habeas corpus during a public hearing, saying she “wasn’t even close.”

Jennings has also revealed that Democrats once tried to recruit him into politics. Back in 2011, he said then–Senate power players Chuck Schumer and Harry Reid personally called him in 2004 to see if he’d run for Utah senator Orrin Hatch’s seat.

Instead of being flattered, Jennings turned it into another punchline:
“That was when I realized the Democratic Party was f—ed in ’04,” he quipped.

For now, he’s staying out of elected office — but very much in the ring online, where the Jeopardy host clearly has no plans to stop throwing punches at Trump and his so-called “regime” anytime soon.

  1. Ken Jennings is too full of himself to see the world through a clear lens of unbiased honesty! Michael Nix

  2. Some people are really smart yet really dumb. Trump is doing amazing things for our country. Limited terms is the only way to stop this mess between both parties.

  3. If these people liked this dictator then why didn’t they go live with his country. TDS and President Trump lives rent free in so many idiot minds. This guy is a host just like all the others crying right now. They didn’t cry for Ashley or Charlie did they? Hypocrite’s.
