Calls are mounting for President Donald Trump to release the results of a recent MRI, as questions swirl over the 79-year-old leader’s health and behavior.
The controversy erupted after Minnesota Governor Tim Walz publicly challenged Trump to make his MRI results public. “Has anyone in history ever had an MRI and not known what it was for?” Walz asked during a fiery appearance on NBC’s Meet the Press. “This is not normal behavior for a sitting president.”
Walz’s challenge came just hours after Trump posted a late-night Thanksgiving tirade on Truth Social targeting Walz and Minnesota Congresswoman Ilhan Omar. The president used a slur against Walz while railing against Somali immigrants, sparking immediate backlash — and new scrutiny over his mental fitness.
Within hours, the phrase “Release the MRI results” began trending across X, with thousands of users — including Democratic officials and prominent influencers — demanding answers.
“Trump’s clearly not well,” wrote Democratic activist Harry Sisson, sharing a recent photo of the president. “Even MAGA can’t pretend like he is.”
Trump confirmed last month that he underwent an MRI at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center as part of what the White House called a “routine physical.” But when asked what the test was for, Trump replied, “No idea what they analyzed.”
That vague remark ignited a firestorm. The White House has refused to comment further, and Newsweek reported that requests for clarification went unanswered.
Trump was previously diagnosed with chronic venous insufficiency — a circulatory condition common in older adults — earlier this year. Photos showing large bruises on his hands have only fueled public speculation.
At 79, Trump remains the oldest person ever to serve as president, surpassing even Joe Biden, whose own health struggles forced him out of the 2024 race.
Walz’s comments have amplified a growing chorus of voices questioning Trump’s fitness for office.
“This is a guy ranting at midnight on Thanksgiving instead of spending time with his family,” Walz said. “He’s talking about nuclear war, about Venezuela’s airspace being closed — it’s bizarre. The American people deserve to know if he’s okay.”
Adam Kinzinger, a former GOP congressman turned CNN commentator, echoed the demand: “Release the MRI results.”
The Democratic Governors Association also joined the campaign, posting the same phrase in a viral message that quickly drew tens of thousands of views.
Vice President JD Vance has downplayed concerns, telling USA Today that the president is “in good shape and doing great things for the American people.”
Trump himself fired back at critics in a post on Truth Social: “NEVER FELT BETTER IN MY LIFE.”
Still, the issue isn’t going away. Health experts note that transparency about a president’s condition has long been seen as a cornerstone of public trust — from Franklin Roosevelt’s paralysis to John F. Kennedy’s Addison’s disease.
“Americans expect honesty about the health of their leaders,” said Dr. Andrew Glassman, a political health historian. “When there’s secrecy, rumors fill the void.”
Whether Trump will release the MRI results remains unclear. But the mounting calls — and the president’s late-night rants — ensure the controversy won’t fade soon.
“Something’s off,” one senior Democratic strategist told The Hill. “And if he doesn’t release those results, voters are going to fill in the blanks themselves.”

Hey Idiots! Ever heard of HIPPA? A summary of the Law: HIPAA, the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996, is a U.S. law that protects sensitive patient health information, ensures health insurance coverage, and helps control administrative costs. Its main goals are to protect the confidentiality and security of health information, make it easier for people to keep health insurance when changing jobs, and improve the efficiency of the healthcare system. HIPAA establishes national standards for privacy and security, giving patients rights over their health data and requiring covered entities and their business associates to implement safeguards.
That even extends to President Trump! Get over yourselves, and if you want to see his, then RELEASE ALL OF YOUR MEDICAL RECORDS, BOZOS!
I agree with you concerning President Trumps medical records being kept private.
We never want to hear about unwell Tampon Timmie Walz again… what a disgrace!
The democrats constantly try to find something wrong.. if they only worked as hard to see American advance it would be great.. waltz is a disgrace to public service, it should always be known as an incompetent politician and activist.
If the MRI shows something terminal, we can begin to start a new national holiday!! Dr. Schlatter
Democrats’ attempt and attack against Trump is pathetic, miserable, descend deeper in in to very dirty bad smelling mud! I’m independent and I see Trump is a real leader, touches things to become gold. Now they want to find any thing wrong in Trump’s MRI. Pathetic, miserable to the core !!! I’m 87 and still physically, mentally doing good. We are a democracy. We choose our leader to lead and govern 4 years as US President. This far Democrats and Republicans do not find any flaw in his leadership, Trump is a Leader admired globally. Be proud of it. Thank God we do have Trump, a Great National & Global Leader!
David.

These same democrats never once ask for basement boy test results in four years of autopen president. Now they have nothing better to do then demand a test result from President Trump. Agree HIPPA law and also agree with democrats don’t accomplish nothing. If democrats would focus on Americans and America can you image what changes that could benefit all. Instead they have nothing better to do with there time and our money. If you didn’t do your job would you still have it? No. But these swamp creatures seem to avoid work and still get paid. Must be nice.
Why “DEMAND” the results of Pres. Trump’s MRI?
SHIT!!!! You lie about this kinda stuff anyway!
Hey he made these kind of demands about Biden and his health (and others, IIRC). It’s only fair and right and just that these demands be made about him. He questioned Biden’s ability to be President based on health concerns (though I seriously doubt that was the real reason) so hey, now the shoe is on the other foot where people are questioning HIS ability to be President. And this isn’t just simply a question about HIPAA (sp?) – he is running and making questionable decision(s) for an entire country, so his ability and mental faculties and whatever else *SHOULD* be brought to light … just like he expected with Biden. This isn’t just some citizen of the country – it is its LEADER and therefore there are checks and balances to make sure he is still up to the task. Making medical records available for review is essential. You can’t scream about wanting complete access to everyone else’s info and then be appalled when it happens to you. He wants to act like he’s above the law and that our laws don’t pertain to him, and so on? That he can write his own rules, or just have no rules/laws at all?? OK…. then the HIPAA law doesn’t apply to you, buddy. Hand over the records. You can’t have it both ways. It’s called consequences of your actions … or inactions, depending on point of view.
