The comment came as Harris promoted her new memoir, 107 Days, chronicling the turbulent final stretch of the 2024 election — a campaign that ended with Donald Trump’s dramatic return to the presidency.

In the book, Harris reflects on what she describes as “a test of democracy and decency.” She writes, “The stakes were simply too high. This wasn’t a choice that should have been left to one man’s ego.”

Harris has made no secret of her frustration with the Biden campaign’s final months, calling the former president’s decision to run again in 2024 “reckless” in an excerpt published by The Atlantic.

White House Fires Back

The Trump administration wasted no time hitting back. White House spokesperson Kush Desai told TMZ, “Kamala Harris should listen to an audio recording of her cackle of a laugh before calling anyone crazy.”

Political analysts say Harris’s unfiltered remark signals a strategic shift as she repositions herself as a fierce counterweight to Trump’s agenda — and a potential frontrunner for the Democratic ticket in 2028.

“Kamala is done playing it safe,” said political strategist Leah Guzman. “Her message resonates with millions of Americans who feel gaslit by this administration’s attacks on rights, science, and sanity.”

A Book — and a Battle Cry

At the Los Angeles event, Harris said she wrote 107 Days to “make sure history doesn’t erase the truth.” She added, “We are living history right now. And I want the next generation to know we didn’t just sit back and watch.”

107 Days — part memoir, part political manifesto — has already shot to the top of Amazon’s nonfiction charts. It’s being hailed by supporters as a searing account of resistance in an age of regression.

As Harris put it onstage, “They may be loud. They may be in power. But that doesn’t make them right — or sane.”
