Explosive new documents are once again dragging powerful MAGA figures into the shadowy orbit of Jeffrey Epstein.
On Friday morning, Democrats on the House Oversight Committee released previously unseen pages from Epstein’s daily schedules—records that place Steve Bannon, Peter Thiel, and even Elon Musk in meetings or planned visits with the convicted sex trafficker.
The revelations come at a time when President Donald Trump’s administration is openly working to block the release of Epstein’s complete files, fueling outrage among survivors’ advocates and Democrats in Congress.
One entry, dated November 27, 2017, shows Epstein had a lunch scheduled with billionaire venture capitalist Peter Thiel—a Trump ally who has long poured money into right-wing politics. Another page places former Trump chief strategist Steve Bannon at a breakfast meeting with Epstein on February 16, 2019—two years before Epstein’s death in a Manhattan jail.
The third document is even more damning: it suggests Elon Musk, now one of Trump’s most visible business partners, was scheduled to visit Epstein’s private island on December 6, 2014. Musk has previously denied close ties to Epstein.
And the fourth document revisits a familiar figure—Prince Andrew—whose name appears on a May 12, 2000 passenger manifest bound for Little St. James.
“These files make it clear Epstein wasn’t some lone predator. He was a connector of the rich, the powerful, and the shameless,” one Democratic staffer told this outlet. “If Republicans succeed in burying the full release, Americans will never know just how deep this went.”
House Oversight Democrats blasted the piecemeal release. “Every new document provides fresh evidence as we work to bring justice for survivors,” Oversight spokesperson Sara Guerrero said. “It’s past time for Attorney General Pam Bondi to release every file. Enough with the cover-ups.”
Survivors’ groups echoed the frustration. “The names keep coming, but the accountability never does,” said Melanie Torres, an attorney representing several Epstein accusers. “If Congress caves to Trump’s pressure, the victims will be silenced all over again.”
The timing of the leak couldn’t be worse for GOP leadership. With Democrat Adelita Grijalva’s surprise win in Arizona’s special election, House Democrats and a handful of Republicans now have the 218 signatures needed to force a vote on the Epstein Files Transparency Act.
That bipartisan measure, sponsored by Rep. Ro Khanna (D-CA) and Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY), would compel the government to release all unclassified Epstein records. But Speaker Mike Johnson has repeatedly tabled the vote—and insiders say the White House is twisting arms behind the scenes.
Three Republicans—Marjorie Taylor Greene, Lauren Boebert, and Nancy Mace—are reportedly under intense pressure from Trump loyalists to withdraw their support. Greene in particular has faced a wave of online attacks after speaking at a rally with Epstein survivors earlier this month.
The drama escalated Wednesday when right-wing outfit Project Veritas released a secretly recorded video of former federal prosecutor Glenn Prager, who claimed Trump is “purposefully blocking” the release of Epstein’s files “to protect a lot of people.”
Prager insisted he had never found testimony tying Trump personally to Epstein’s abuse. Still, the DOJ quickly distanced itself, stating Prager hadn’t been on staff in 15 years and calling the video “clickbait.”
For many Democrats, that denial rang hollow. “They’ll smear anyone to protect this president,” Rep. Khanna said in a statement. “But Americans deserve the truth about who enabled Epstein.”
Epstein’s death in federal custody in 2019 was officially ruled a suicide, but conspiracy theories have never died down—especially as the Trump Justice Department has refused to release the vast bulk of seized records.
Now, with Trump back in the White House and his allies directly linked to Epstein’s schedule, Democrats warn the cover-up has reached a breaking point.
“Every redaction is another survivor left in the dark,” Guerrero said. “The question is simple: what are they hiding, and who are they protecting?”
