A career Justice Department official has been caught on tape alleging that President Donald Trump is shielding powerful figures linked to Jeffrey Epstein, despite once promising full transparency.

The covertly recorded footage, released Wednesday by right-wing provocateur James O’Keefe, features Glenn Prager—a former federal investigator with more than two decades in oversight roles—making explosive claims while flying from Phoenix to Washington, D.C.

“I think he’s protecting a lot of other people,” Prager said of Trump. “He’s so hesitant to show what’s going on with releasing all his files.”

Prager’s background makes his remarks harder to dismiss outright. His LinkedIn profile highlights more than 25 years of government service, including investigative roles within the DOJ and oversight of agencies like the FBI, DEA, and U.S. Marshals Service.

He insists he reviewed Epstein’s flight logs and even spoke with some of the late financier’s victims. According to Prager, none of those interviews implicated Trump directly.

“There’s never been an instance where Trump was on a plane with these kids and the rapes occurred,” Prager said. “People want to tie it to [Trump] and say he’s covering up for himself, but he’s not.”

But in the same breath, he accused the president of blocking access to the files for a darker reason: “He’s protecting a lot of people.”

Trump has long downplayed his relationship with Epstein, claiming he “knew him like everybody in Palm Beach” but cut ties after Epstein’s 2008 conviction for soliciting sex from a minor. Still, photographs of Trump alongside Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell have fueled years of speculation.

The president has repeatedly dismissed the Epstein scandal as a “Democrat hoax” and argued that if there were anything damaging in the files, “it would have come out a long time ago.”

Prager scoffed at that defense. “Come on. You know it’s not a hoax. He says a lot of stupid stuff,” he said. “He’s been on the plane many times. It’s just—he was never on the plane with the kids.”

Prager also pointed the finger at former President Bill Clinton, claiming rapes occurred while Clinton was aboard Epstein’s private jet. “That’s where the big cover-up was,” he alleged.

Clinton has consistently denied any involvement with Epstein’s crimes, though flight records show he traveled on Epstein’s plane multiple times in the early 2000s.

Perhaps most shocking, Prager suggested that Epstein was secretly working as a CIA informant—echoing rumors that have long swirled around the financier’s mysterious wealth and suspicious death in a Manhattan jail cell in 2019.

“This is soon to come out,” Prager hinted.

The Justice Department wasted no time discrediting Prager. “This individual worked at the Department of Justice as a program analyst over 15 years ago. He has no understanding of, or access to, the underlying facts in this investigation,” a spokesperson said in a statement. “His statements should not be considered accurate. It is disgusting that someone would further exploit victims of sexual abuse by fabricating stories for their personal benefit.”

Officials repeated that statement on X, stressing that Prager’s assertions are “baseless.”

But O’Keefe’s video, already viewed more than 4 million times within hours of release, has spread like wildfire across right-wing media. Republican Rep. Thomas Massie even amplified it on his own social media account, framing Prager’s remarks as proof of a deep-state cover-up.

Trump campaigned in 2024 on a pledge to “finally release the Epstein files” and expose the powerful elite. Nearly a year into his second presidency, those files remain sealed. For critics, that’s proof Trump has no intention of keeping his promise.

Democratic strategist Maya Ruiz told us the episode “shows Trump is running the same playbook he always has—feed conspiracy theories to his base while quietly protecting the very elites he pretends to fight.”

“Americans deserve the truth,” Ruiz added. “Instead, what we’re getting is another cover-up wrapped in chaos.”

    1. No, but all Democrats are…
NextGen shouldn’t be quoting whacko “Democrat strategists”… use real sources with credibility…

  1. So they report President Trump is not guilty of any wrong doing. They make allegations he is protecting others. The President is not the DOJ the Attorney General decides what they can release and can’t. Then there is the allegation that Epstein worked as a CIA under cover agent. None of this is relevant to the moment. When the Democrats where in power all of this could have been released yet they chose not too? I wonder why? The FBI grabbed all the videos camera and computers yet President Biden didn’t disclose a thing why aren’t you pursuing Merrick Garland the former Attorney General oh yeah he pleads dementia. Let it go move on. Epstein is dead and his associate is serving time it was his operation and you can’t take to trail a dead man.
