“I’ve known Jeff for 15 years. Terrific guy.” — Donald Trump, 2002

The mask is slipping — again.

Newly uncovered photographs from Donald Trump’s glitzy 1993 wedding to Marla Maples reveal a familiar face lurking among the rich and powerful: convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein.

The shocking images, released this week by CNN, capture Epstein grinning at Trump’s star-studded reception inside Manhattan’s iconic Plaza Hotel — a property Trump owned at the time. In one image, Epstein can be seen brushing shoulders with radio host Howard Stern and socialite Robin Leach. In another, he’s captured arriving at the venue with his trademark smug smile, blending in seamlessly among political royalty, media titans, and Hollywood elite.

It’s a bombshell revelation that slices through the heart of Trump’s carefully crafted narrative — that his ties to Epstein were brief, distant, and inconsequential.

They weren’t.

The Guest List That Keeps Haunting

Trump’s wedding wasn’t just a celebration — it was a parade of American influence in the early ’90s. Among the 1,000 VIP attendees: NYC Mayor David Dinkins, Senator Al D’Amato, Congressman Charles Rangel, Manhattan DA Robert Morgenthau, and billionaire investors Carl Icahn and Ron Perelman.

There was also a heavy celebrity presence: O.J. Simpson (months before his infamous arrest), Liza Minnelli, Don King, Susan Lucci, and Rosie O’Donnell — who would go on to become one of Trump’s most vocal critics.

And there was Jeffrey Epstein. Quietly navigating the halls of power, years before his crimes would make headlines — but already welcomed into Trump’s inner orbit.

A Friendship Trump Can’t Shake

Despite claiming to have severed ties with Epstein in 2004, Trump’s history with the disgraced financier is well-documented. The two were repeatedly photographed together throughout the 1990s and early 2000s. At one point, Trump even called Epstein a “terrific guy” with a taste for “beautiful women… on the younger side.”

In a 2017 audio recording obtained by the Daily Beast, Epstein called Trump his “closest friend.”

Now, with President Trump back in the White House in 2025, scrutiny over their relationship is once again boiling over — and this time, the stakes are far higher.

A Scandal Trump Can’t Tweet Away

Last week, The Wall Street Journal dropped a bombshell: Trump allegedly gifted Epstein a risqué drawing of a naked woman for his 50th birthday, along with a cryptic note referring to a shared “secret.” The White House has denied the story, dismissing it as “fake news designed to smear a successful administration.”

But the hits keep coming.

On Wednesday, the Journal reported that Attorney General Pam Bondi informed Trump his name appears “multiple times” in the recently declassified Epstein case files — a disclosure that reportedly sent the Oval Office into damage control mode.

In response to mounting pressure, the White House issued a short statement redirecting focus to the economy and border security. On Truth Social, Trump posted:

“We had the Greatest Six Months of any President in the History of our Country, and all the Fake News wants to talk about is the Jeffrey Epstein Hoax!”

The Client List That Vanished

Perhaps most troubling for critics: Trump’s Department of Justice abruptly ended the federal investigation into Epstein’s associates earlier this year — a move that effectively sealed off access to the long-rumored “client list.” The decision has ignited fury from victims’ advocates and fueled bipartisan suspicion that powerful men — possibly including Trump — are being protected.

“It’s a betrayal,” said attorney Gloria Allred, who represents several of Epstein’s victims. “The American people deserve to know who was involved, and why justice is being denied. No one should be above the law — not even the president.”

What Comes Next?

With Epstein’s shadow looming over the White House, pressure is growing on Democrats in Congress to launch an independent investigation into Trump’s ties to the late financier. Senate Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries has already called for a special committee to review the DOJ’s shutdown of the Epstein probe.

“This is not about politics,” Jeffries said. “It’s about power, accountability, and the victims who still have no answers.”

Meanwhile, Epstein’s name is again dominating headlines — not for his crimes alone, but for what his relationship with the most powerful man in the world might still be hiding.

And as for Trump’s claim that the Epstein story is a hoax?

These photographs say otherwise.
