MAGA conspiracy theorists are back with a vengeance — and this time, they want Barack Obama in handcuffs.
In an increasingly unhinged pivot from the stalled Epstein investigation, top allies of President Donald Trump are pushing a bizarre and unsubstantiated narrative accusing former President Obama of orchestrating a “seditious coup” — a theory even Republicans once dismissed as fantasy.
At the center of the latest meltdown is Trump’s current Director of National Intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard, who last week posted a series of inflammatory messages online claiming Obama “weaponized” U.S. intelligence agencies during the 2016 transition to undermine Trump before he took office.
“This was a coordinated, treasonous effort to stop President Trump,” Gabbard posted on Truth Social. “We now have proof that Obama directed intel assets against the president-elect.”
She offered no actual evidence — just references to Obama ordering an intelligence assessment of Russian interference in the 2016 election, something already well-documented and publicly supported by multiple bipartisan investigations.
But that hasn’t stopped the MAGA machine.
Trump himself reposted a fake AI-generated video over the weekend that shows Obama being perp-walked in handcuffs out of the White House and thrown into a jail cell in an orange jumpsuit. The clip quickly went viral among far-right influencers despite being completely fabricated.
“This is what justice looks like,” Trump wrote, before declaring, “They went after me, now it’s time we go after them.”
House Speaker Mike Johnson took it even further, floating the idea of subpoenaing the former president to testify before Congress. “If President Obama was involved in orchestrating surveillance against a political opponent, we absolutely need to bring him in,” Johnson told CBN News. “He may not like it, but he’s not above the law.”
Even retired Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn, who once pleaded guilty in connection with the Russia probe, suggested Obama could face a military tribunal.
“That option should be on the table,” Flynn said during an appearance on right-wing YouTuber Benny Johnson’s show. “We’re talking about treason at the highest levels.”
Right-wing podcaster Matt Walsh echoed the hysteria. “Obama should be in handcuffs right now. If Gabbard’s claims are true — and let’s face it, they are — then he committed treason,” Walsh said.
But the facts tell a very different story.
The intelligence report Gabbard is now weaponizing — the one commissioned by Obama in late 2016 — was backed by a Republican-led Senate Intelligence Committee. That same bipartisan panel concluded in 2020 that Russia launched a comprehensive, multi-pronged campaign to help Trump win the election. A separate GOP-led House investigation in 2018 acknowledged the interference but danced around whether it was specifically intended to help Trump.
Trump’s own intelligence chiefs agreed with that conclusion — including John Ratcliffe, who served as DNI during Trump’s first term and now heads the CIA. In sworn testimony before Congress earlier this year, Ratcliffe reiterated that “Russia did interfere in the 2016 election and will continue attempting to meddle in American democracy.”
Just two weeks ago, Ratcliffe praised the original 2016 report — the very one Obama ordered — calling it “well-constructed” and based on “sound tradecraft.”
The sudden focus on Obama appears to be a political diversion. The Trump White House has been under pressure for days over growing frustration from his base, who are demanding answers in the long-promised Jeffrey Epstein revelations — evidence that has yet to materialize.
“Trump told us justice was coming,” said one angry Truth Social user. “Instead, we’re getting memes and deflection. Where are the Epstein files?”
Gabbard’s accusations have offered a convenient distraction — and a new boogeyman: a former president best known for his tan suit and scandal-free administration.
In reality, this latest MAGA crusade appears to be little more than another smoke bomb of political theater, aimed at revving up a base that’s growing restless and deflecting from Trump’s mounting problems.
Meanwhile, Obama has not publicly responded — and there is no indication the Department of Justice is taking Gabbard’s “evidence” seriously.
As one former intelligence official told us: “This is absurd. They’re trying to turn a normal national security process into a deep-state thriller. It’s not just reckless — it’s dangerous.”
For now, the only thing being locked up is the truth.

Treason charges on all democrats involved in coup and rino’s. Democrats opened Pandora’s box now they are having to live with it. President Trump doesn’t break laws he just lives by them. To bad democrats and their puppets don’t understand that. How many laws have the democrats broke? How many times have democrats disobey the court system? How many times have democrats falsified documents and doctored photos and videos to serve their purpose. They also like destroying evidence right Pelosi and Cheney? How come republicans can come with receipts and democrats don’t have a single legitimate and true receipt? Facts matter, truth matters and accountability matters.

We all know Obama was a traitor when he refused to be sworn in with the Bible but only the Koran. He was not an American and never will be.
