Donald Trump is fuming again — and this time, it’s because Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky didn’t bite on his so-called “final offer” to end the war with Russia.
In a Truth Social tirade on Wednesday, Trump blasted the Ukrainian leader for rejecting a plan that would’ve forced Ukraine to surrender Crimea to Vladimir Putin and give up on ever joining NATO. Trump accused Zelensky of “making it hard to settle the war,” whining that the Ukrainian leader has “no cards to play.”
Zelensky’s response? A firm “no thanks.”
“Ukraine will not legally recognize the occupation of Crimea,” Zelensky told reporters. “There is nothing to talk about. It is against our constitution.”
That set Trump off. He lashed out online, claiming Crimea was already a lost cause under Obama and shouldn’t even be up for discussion. “He can have peace,” Trump warned, “or he can fight for another three years before losing the whole country.”
The former president has repeatedly promised he could end the war in Ukraine “on day one,” yet his approach has leaned heavily on pressuring Ukraine, not Russia. He’s slammed Zelensky as a “dictator” and accused him of dragging out the conflict, all while continuing to praise Putin — the same Putin who invaded Ukraine in 2022.
Despite the tough talk, Trump hasn’t exactly cracked down on Moscow. At one point, he threatened Putin with oil tariffs — but never followed through. Now he’s sending White House envoy Steve Witkoff to meet with Putin again this Friday, with Trump insisting that a ceasefire is “very close.”
That optimism might be premature. There’s no evidence any real deal is on the table, especially after U.S. officials skipped peace talks in London this week and Zelensky tossed Trump’s proposal out the window.
Zelensky’s chief of staff, Andriy Yermak, didn’t mince words: “Russia continues to reject an unconditional ceasefire, dragging out the process and trying to manipulate negotiations.”
Trump, meanwhile, is clearly growing frustrated. “If one of the parties makes it very difficult,” he said last week, “we’re just going to say you’re foolish. You are fools, you horrible people.”
Secretary of State Marco Rubio echoed the sentiment: “We’re now at the point where we need to decide if this is even possible. If it’s not, we move on.”
But Ukraine isn’t folding — and Trump’s pressure campaign just got another cold shoulder.

Zelenskyy should know that he can!t win. Never could. He has begged, borrowed and stole. Using other people’s money and lost many Ukrainian lives and he is much worse off than when he started. Totally disagree on being for Zelensky. The US has given Him trillions of US dollars ( under Biden especially) and it is Never enough for Zelensky . He acts like a spoiled child , always wants More, no thank you’’s either. He cares only for himself, and it would sure be nice if the US never gives him Our money or weapons ever again .
