When he took office, President Trump vowed to lower grocery bills. Two months in, his supporters appear fed up with non-stop complaints.

On Truth Social, the president shared a provocative Daily Caller article. Titled “Shut Up About Egg Prices — Trump Is Saving Consumers,” it downplays worries over soaring egg costs.

Right-wing commentator Charlie Kirk, the article’s author, admits a dozen eggs now runs about $7. That’s a huge jump from $2 in October. Yet, Kirk insists, “The high price of eggs is in no way President Trump’s fault.” He claims nearly all of the increase occurred during Biden’s final months in office.

The piece praises Trump for working to cut costs for families. It paints critics as overreacters ignoring the bigger picture. A Trump spokesperson recently declared, “Our focus is on delivering real savings. We are showing results for everyday Americans.”

Meanwhile, nationwide egg prices have surged. Experts warn that this spike reflects broader supply chain issues and global market disruptions—not just a single administration’s policies.
Dr. Emily Carter, an economist at New York University, noted, “The surge in egg prices is a symptom of deeper economic challenges. Blaming one president oversimplifies a very complex issue.”

As debates rage on, the fight over grocery costs continues. Americans face soaring prices at the checkout while partisan claims fly. Who will ultimately be held accountable for our rising food bills?

  1. So, now the people who voted for Trump are seeing how badly they were scammed.by the Republican administration and Trump.  Prof. Schlatter

  2. Biden’s Department of Agriculture killed more than 100 million chickens because of bird flu, which led to a shortage of eggs. Egg prices increased 65% in 2024 when Biden was in the White House.

    1. Yeah, we’re living on the eggs from chickens hidden from evil Jokementia Bribery’s senseless purge now…

  3. President Trump and this Administration has two things going on here – they’re working under JOE BIDEN’S budget. The new FISCAL YEAR doesn’t start until October 1, 2025. And much of this s#!tshow happened at the end of Biden’s term. This Administration has so much damage to UNDO.
Fuel prices where we are are down . That should help with some of the inflation – everything is connected to energy.
And the new DOJ is looking into the ridiculous prices of eggs – there have been other instances of bird flu, and prices did go up, but not like now.
The economy IS NOT going to fix itself overnight. Because it took FOUR YEARS to got to where we are now.
