Meghan Markle knows how to keep a secret! The Duchess of Sussex surprised a group of longtime fans at a special screening of her new Netflix series, With Love, Meghan, which premiered on Tuesday.
The night before its release, Meghan, 43, touched down in New York City to crash an exclusive event held for followers of her former lifestyle blog, The Tig. The now-defunct site, which she launched in 2014, featured everything from recipes to travel tips before she shut it down in 2017 after her romance with Prince Harry went public.
On Monday night, Meghan documented her journey to Ludlow House, a private Soho House club on the Lower East Side, where the screening was held. Sharing a clip on Instagram, she teased, “A surprise in the Big Apple tonight,” just moments before walking into a room full of unsuspecting fans.

“They don’t know I’m coming,” she said with a playful grin in another video. Moments later, she greeted the audience, who had just finished watching the first few episodes of her series. “What’d you guys think?” she excitedly asked, eager to hear their reactions.
Meghan’s devoted fans didn’t just show up—they showed their dedication in ink! A few proudly displayed fresh tattoos reading As Ever, a nod to her new lifestyle brand. She later shared snaps of the meaningful ink on Instagram, proving her followers are truly ride-or-die.

The duchess also posted glimpses of sweet congratulatory gifts, including a bottle of Tignanello wine—famously the inspiration behind The Tig’s name—and a heartfelt bouquet from Harry and their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. The handwritten note from her family read, “Congratulations mumma! We love your show, and we love you!” signed by “Lili, Archie [and] Papa.”
In her new Netflix show, Meghan revealed that she now goes by Sussex instead of Markle, choosing to share the same last name as her children. She made the announcement in a conversation with Mindy Kaling, who had referred to her by her maiden name. “It’s so funny, too, that you keep saying Meghan Markle,” she told Kaling. “You know I’m Sussex now.”

With Love, Meghan premiered on March 4, marking another chapter in her post-royal journey. And if her surprise NYC appearance is any indication, she’s still got plenty of tricks up her sleeve.
