Antonio Reyes, now 21, allegedly began his killing spree at age 16. Over nine dark months in 2020, he shot six people—mostly complete strangers. His actions have left Chicago reeling and demanding answers.
Reyes struck at random. One victim was filling up his car with gas. Another was on his way to buy a puppy for his three children. His victims never saw it coming. Police say evidence from shell casings and social media posts tied him to the grisly acts. In jail, he even tried to stab a cellmate.
Reyes now faces six murder charges and four counts of attempted murder. Cook County State Attorney Eileen O’Neill Burke declared,
“It appears he was just doing it for the thrill of it—murdering people repeatedly.”
Authorities believe his actions were driven by a dangerous desire for chaos amid a nation already gripped by fear during the pandemic.
Chicago has long struggled with gun violence. The pandemic only deepened the isolation and unrest. Chicago Police Superintendent Larry Snelling warned,
“This speaks to the level of disregard this offender had toward human life. It’s difficult to comprehend how anyone could take so many lives in one year.”
Community leaders and activists say the tragedy underscores a failing system. “We must invest in youth programs and tighten gun laws,” urged a local community advocate. Many Democrats argue that stronger gun control and better mental health support are urgently needed.
Although Reyes reportedly had a loose connection to the Latin Kings, investigators say his crimes were not gang-related. One victim, Damian Duran, had only a brief link to him during a drug deal. Authorities continue to probe the case, searching for any additional victims and answers.
Antonio Reyes remains behind bars as his trial looms. Chicago now faces the painful task of healing while grappling with systemic issues. This tragic chapter serves as a stark reminder: behind every statistic is a human life cut short, and the need for change has never been more urgent.

“If a man kills anyone, he must be put to death.” Leviticus 24:17.
God’s solution for murderers is death. When carried out swiftly and without delay following a trial and not all the technicalities invented by the lawyers, then it serves as a deterrent.
So in Chicago if you murder 6 or more people you will finally have to stay locked up. Good for murderers to know that and stop at 5 and then move to a different Democrats-run Murderers Paradise…
WOKE NextGen still doesn’t realize that only idiots use the idiotic Democrats’ idiotic term of “gun violence”. Everyone with a working brain knows it’s “ADDICTIONS VIOLENCE” ! These murderers have bad judgement because they’re STONED !!! Common murderous addictions are drug addiction, religion addiction, and homosexuality addiction…
Fully agree with Buzz Waldron. Marijuana-induced psychosis is a factor in almost all school shootings, mass murder and homicides. We now have 445,000 people in the US marketing this high potency drug, along with other narcotics. An estimated 1,000 people die everyday of drug related causes. More than any war in American history. For 15 years George Soros drug policy called “Harm Reduction” has been national drug policy, not based on its merits, but only because of his control of the Democratic Party, and obvious influence on Trump and his term in office. That must change or America will never be safe again.
And he never made it to the Mayor’s house??? Pity!
Start executing these people Do unto others as they do unto you eye for an eye
Don’t have the ‘death penalty’ in that Blue State, too bad as this piece of human garbage is a perfect candidate!
What say you ‘rehabilitation’ proponents, can you save this deviant lunatic, returning him to society’s open arms?
