In a fiery social media outburst on Wednesday night, far-right personality Laura Loomer unleashed a barrage of accusations at Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, accusing him of censoring key images and information surrounding a near-fatal assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump. Loomer, known for her staunch support of Trump, lashed out after Zuckerberg’s controversial dinner with the 78-year-old at his Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida.

“I will never forget how Mark Zuckerberg censored the assassination attempt pictures of President Trump and then programmed Facebook to hide all mentions of it,” Loomer wrote in a series of explosive posts on X, formerly Twitter. “It’s extremely un-American.”

The assassination attempt Loomer refers to occurred in July 2024, when 20-year-old Thomas Crooks shot at Trump during a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. The incident, which narrowly missed the former president, was widely reported by news outlets, but Loomer claims Zuckerberg orchestrated an online cover-up by removing images and posts about the event from Facebook and Instagram.

Loomer’s outcry centered on the idea that Zuckerberg’s actions were a blatant display of bias. “Zuckerberg supports the man who tried to kill Trump. That’s how deep this goes,” she declared, accusing the tech mogul of enabling a political narrative that downplays the attack.

The social media tirade followed a surprising turn of events: Zuckerberg and Trump were seen dining together at Mar-a-Lago just hours after Loomer’s posts. This only fueled her anger. “It is very disturbing to know Zuckerberg was allowed to have dinner with Trump after what he did,” Loomer continued. “Donald Trump was blessed with a miracle that day in Butler, and Zuckerberg wants to erase it from history. That is EVIL.”

The 31-year-old’s passionate remarks echoed her longstanding criticism of social media giants, which she claims have censored conservative viewpoints. She went on to call Zuckerberg and his wife, Priscilla Chan, “anti-American lunatics” and accused him of stealing personal photos after she was banned from Facebook years ago for violating its policies.

While her claims about Zuckerberg’s role in the assassination attempt cover-up remain unverified, Loomer’s rant is not an isolated incident. Known for her controversial statements and active presence within the MAGA movement, Loomer has a history of spreading conspiracy theories and provocative rhetoric. She has been a fixture in the far-right circles, frequently aligning herself with fringe activist groups and challenging mainstream narratives.

As for Zuckerberg, Meta has not responded publicly to Loomer’s allegations, and it is unclear whether any official action will be taken regarding the dinner with Trump. However, the dinner only adds to the ongoing tension between the tech mogul and conservative figures who accuse him of bias in content moderation.

The ongoing feud highlights a wider divide in American politics—one where accusations of censorship, political bias, and ideological warfare are becoming increasingly prominent. Loomer’s remarks are unlikely to be the last in what seems to be an escalating clash between Silicon Valley executives and the far-right base.

In the meantime, Loomer’s incendiary posts continue to fuel debate about the role of social media in shaping political discourse and the limits of free speech in the digital age. As Thanksgiving approached, Loomer took a brief break to wish her followers a happy holiday, before returning to her calls for mass deportations, underscoring her relentless and controversial presence in the online political arena.

  1. Why this hit piece on Loomer? Maybe she’s right. Just look at Z’s flip-flops. First, he censors and then, when that becomes broadly unpopular, he offers a weak mea culpa. He spent $400 million to defeat Trump and now, he wants to have lunch with him. The man(?)’s a chamaeleon and should not be trusted. If he engaged incampaign violations or election intrrference he should be prosecuted.
