RFK Jr’s Marriage Reportedly ‘Hanging by Thread’

Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s marriage to actress Cheryl Hines is reportedly in a state of turmoil following his alleged involvement in a sexting scandal.

Rumors of an affair between Kennedy and New York Magazine political reporter Olivia Nuzzi have surfaced, though Kennedy has denied any inappropriate relationship. Despite his denial, sources indicate that Hines feels “humiliated” due to Kennedy’s past behavior and ongoing controversies, with their marriage said to be “hanging by a thread.”

The scandal intensified after New York Magazine issued a public apology on September 19, acknowledging that Nuzzi had failed to disclose a “personal relationship” with someone she wrote about during her coverage of the 2024 presidential campaign.

The magazine sidelined Nuzzi and announced a third-party review of her work. In a statement, the magazine expressed regret for violating readers’ trust and confirmed that Nuzzi was currently on leave.

An internal email from New York Magazine‘s editor-in-chief, David Haskell, revealed that the relationship between Nuzzi and the unnamed subject lasted for nearly nine months, ending a few weeks ago.

Media outlets such as CNN and The New York Times have suggested that the subject in question was Kennedy, a prominent figure in the anti-vaccine movement and former Independent presidential candidate. However, Kennedy has publicly denied the claims, stating that he only met Nuzzi once for an interview that resulted in a critical article.

The allegations have placed further strain on Kennedy’s relationship with Hines, whom he married in 2014. Insiders claim that Kennedy and Nuzzi regularly exchanged sexts after she profiled him for New York Magazine in November 2023. Reports also suggest that Kennedy bragged about the alleged romance behind his wife’s back, exacerbating tensions within their marriage.

In its statement, New York Magazine maintained that Nuzzi’s personal relationship did not affect the accuracy of her reporting, but noted that she would not have been allowed to cover the campaign had the relationship been known.

Despite the magazine’s internal review finding no evidence of bias or inaccuracies in Nuzzi’s published work, the scandal has sparked widespread speculation and concern over Kennedy’s personal life and professional conduct.
