King Charles’ Nickname for Meghan Markle Revealed

Meghan Markle is known by a slew of nicknames and titles, but it appears that there’s one that was given to her specifically by the current king of England.

Charles reportedly referred to Meghan as “Tungsten” according to royal journalist and author, Katie Nicholl. Katie wrote The New Royals: Queen Elizabeth’s Legacy and the Future of the Crown, which was released in 2022.

In her book, Katie wrote: “Charles reportedly nicknamed his future daughter-in-law ‘Tungsten’ because of her toughness and resilience.” Tungsten is a type of metal that is known for being extremely strong and hard to break.

It’s unclear if Charles still uses this nickname to describe Meghan. She and her husband have had a strained relationship with the royal family as the couple slammed how they were treated by the Firm in various interviews, their documentary series, and Harry’s memoir.

But Harry seems to be trying to reconnect with his father after Charles’ cancer diagnosis earlier this year. The Duke of Sussex immediately flew to the United Kingdom after hearing the news from the king himself.
